This is good for a lot of people, because it’s not crazy expensive like the past versions online, and it will probably be a lot of people’s first gunship

Nice review! It’s an interesting variation of the Gunship, but I wish it was more at scale of the 2013 version or larger how the 2022 AT-TE has more pieces than the 2013 one. There’s also a lack in use of the empty space. I’m surprised they didn’t include a weapons/tools rack or something for the troops. I’d still like to get it though.
I like the design more than the old one just wish fox didn't suck and it had bubbles

I know this set was rumored to be a Coruscant Guard Gunship since April, but I was hoping a new playscale Gunship would be the standard one to go on shelves with the UCS Gunship like how there’s a playscale ATAT and the UCS one. This is still a cool set.
Can’t wait for mods for this set to start coming out!

Hey man just wanted to let you know that there’s actually supposed to be a 1 by 4 red peice that will help cover that gap on those front doors. I think you may have missed that step in the build process
I like that the troopers are sitting upright in the cockpits, they actually look like they’re controlling the gunship
Seems a solid set just sad for the missing boubles in the wings.

Currently assembling the set. Fox doesn't have that vibrant white chest, but it's not as bad as people make it seem. I hope Lego can do a little better next time. And I hope they remake another gunship soon.
I can let the helmet holes slide, but the inaccuracy of Fox's printing was very avoidable and kinda sets me back from wanting the minifigure
Honestly, the Fox figure is over hated. Yes the pink torso and some other stuff is not accurate and the printed waist cape might not be the best, but I still wouldn’t call the figure “ugly” or “trash” or something, since I don’t think it looks that bad despite the inaccuracies.
What I would say is with like a white paint on Fox I would say it might be a little bit thin I think if it was a tiny bit thicker play network be a perfect figure or close to perfect as it could be fat is my thoughts on face
I don't participate in D+ (just above Failure) but just luv cool ships. I think I'd play with the cockpits and make more jetfighter like and less bubbly. Great Review. With New 2024 Figure packs really tempted to pick this up now, but holding out for $20 off or something but I might just go for it.

You seem to have a relationship with the battlepacks guy. Is there any word on supply of those advertised retired sets at retail price and how members will be able to buy them? Obviously people have seen official Lego sets sell out in a day and clone army custom minifigs sell out in minutes. How does the site plan to make it equitable in any way? For instance if I subscribe to the battle pass but can’t wait at my computer for the exact second retired sets become available, I could be a battle pass member for months and never actually get a chance to purchase retired sets.

Padme is fine but dual molded legs would be really nice. Palpatine is good, probably the best figure here. Fox is really bad, he has way to much inaccuracies. The white line on the helmet is to thin, the kneepads should be red not white, the white torso printing goes down to far, he really should have a black visor, and last and certainly least the printed kama looks ugly. The Shock troopers do look a bit goofy with the helmet holes (nothing a GCC helmet can’t fix) and thought the arms being white will take some getting used to, it is probably better than them being red.
Ok, the gunship itself is very aesthetically pleasing but again has a lot of small annoyances. The stud shooters on the wings are pretty bad, the side door should open up in two parts, and over all the gunship is really downsized. I think if this set was maybe given the $160-$170 slot then this could be fixed.
Overall its still a cool set but its only getting a 6.5/10 in total from me.
For accuracy its only getting a 4.6/10
For playability is getting a 8/10 since the bay is hard to access and it has no side builds like previous gunships have had.
I’d prefer them to go back to photography on boxes, the renders on box art look odd to me. Especially figures and cockpits.
To be completely honest, I do practically agree with you as the figures are pretty good and the build itself is pretty good but obviously one problem is Fox and also something I find interesting is how like custom minifigs someone get the white color chest plate correct but LEGO can't do it? And obviously things like the front door there easily could've been like a little sidebuild like (as I saw on Reddit on a post talking about it) something like a blaster rack or miniature command station seen on previous iterations. While I think overall it's good, I would say it's not $140 and maybe more like $120 as I think LEGO did great but they definitely missed the mark on some things (at this point its beating a dead horse but yeah the helmet holes make the helmet look weird, like why can't they just make helmet holes where the circles already are on the helmet because it'll make them alot more better.)

This is by far my favourite gunship set. It's a minifigure scale clone wars gunship which is all i could ever want from a lego clone wars set, all i will change about it is the doors and the bubble turrets but i can't wait to do a regular gunship redesign for this!

3:47 the complaint about the pink tint is so incredibly dumb I don't understand. Idk how anyone expected it to look better than that and it's just such a lame ass take. No, I don't think the figure is very accurate, but the pink tint was never not gonna be there. It's white printing on red. Like come on. I honestly still like the figure, even tho it's very innacurate. Sure it's annoying but I don't think it looks "ugly".
Because lego can correct this issue and they have corrected it in the past but they choose not to for the sake of cheaping out
