Fun fact, clones sitting in the bubbles is a strictly lego created idea, they are unmanned guns in Canon. So you're right to say it doesn't really make sense.

FINALLY someone who doesn't hate the helmet holes. I'm probably (Definitely) going to buy this.
Helmet holes are fine to me 😁 I recommend it for sure!
Youre not alone you know.. just know its a very vocal minority that is complaining about it.
The helmet holes allow for more customization and play opportunities just like the mandos and p1 clones. I mean you can put friends accessories in those holes.
@@TheBenjaman the helmet holes are good on the p1s because the hole is in the right spot. The double holes just look weird and it messes up rangefinders. It would look so much better and more accurate if the holes were lower and there was only 1 on each side
@@brickmedia3354 I guess the main issue is visor cannonically sits above the helmet as such people might complain about that inaccuracy when it comes to troops with the visor
In canon i do agree with @atley4328 that the wing bubble turrets are unmanned, But i am pretty sure they auto fire. Also did you know that the final sticker is actually accurate and there is a republic logo on the back door? really surprising that legp would do that but yeah

The fox is fine. Its not nearly as bad as the fox that hasbro did back in like 2014 or 2015. (It had less articulation then a lego figure). Plus the coruscant guard will go pretty well with the purple 187th. As they have the same marking and all.
The gunship looks really fantastic, wish it was the muunilist 10 variant as it has the doors that one had. or if lego was going to a different variant of the laat.. it shouldve maybe been a wolfpack one. Either way the red one is my second fav laat behind the muun10 one so im happy. Its going to go really well on a display with that upcoming ahsoka shuttle.
Now if we could get the red and white consular from the phantom menace opening, that would make for a stellar coruscant guard fleet.
Only downside is the price. Definitely wait for a sale for this one.
i would absolutely love to see a drop ship version on the gunship now even tho it isn’t canon it would be really cool to attach the atte form last year to the drop ship another benefit is that if you fit the inside of the ship you may be able to make the ship longer or and other stuff great video!
Honestly the main thing that bugs me about this set is something I haven't heard anybody mention.
The gray circle in the triangle on the front compartment door is supposed to be where attachments like bubble turrets and floodlights are seen hook up to in-universe. They should have made it have some sort of strong axle connection so people could make their own custom attachments, even if they weren't going to include any in the set
Other than that, the doors not splitting in two does bug me and the stud shooters could've been replaced with spring loaded shooters under the wing. That way you keep the shooter function without making the bubbles on the wings be inaccurate.
As for the troopers sitting in there, in-universe those aren't manned turrets. They're controlled by the gunner/copilot in the top seat. The manned bubble turrets are the ones that stick out from the sides near the front
Arguably they would’ve gotten more criticism for including an attachment point with no attachment.

I feel the same way about the wing bubble turrets, I'd rather have some extra missile launchers on a gunship that I'd pilot, and that's pretty much what they did to this gunship.

The Coruscant Guard gunship looks awsome. As a stopmotion film maker Im already thinking of all the cool scenes that I could do with it. I do think that they should’ve given us clone pilots rather than Shocktroopers for the cockpits. But it still looks pretty awsome and I’ve always wanted to but a Republic gunship, so might get this one depending on pricing in the UK.
Fox and it's nice pink torso armor. Printed waist capes would be fine if at least they were printed it on the side as well if not full 360. With these small stripes you can barely even see it let alone recognise what these are.
I just feel like sets are getting more and more expensive while also dropping in quality.
Agreed, I dont like how it cuts off.
I dont think overall quality is decreasing overall personally, but this figure isnt the best

@@BlaiseTM no hurry, your alternate builds are amazing, i’ve built the xwing gunship and got inspiration for my 501st battlepack, and I think you should keep on doing ninjago alternate builds, they’re harder but they can trun out completely different from the original set! 🥳

Personally on the helmet holes, I don't think they are inherently bad the problem is they already have the circle on the helmet so why not just remove the separate helmet hole, and drill a hole in the circle, problem solved
Could be a limitation of some kind, honestly have no clue.
I seriously doubt they didn't at least attempt that before they landed on the final product we have now.
Not giving em a pass, just my opinion on it.

@@alpha1eastaskforce227the holes are there because the phase 2 visor is attached to the helmet there. Having the holes in the proper spot wouldve ment they had to make a new mold for the sunvisor, that wouldnt have worked with the other helmets that have the same system.
Its also the reason why the phase 2 helmet never had the holes in the first place when that mold got introduced in 2013. And ever since then lego star wars fans wanted to have the helmet holes on the phase 2... and here we are now...
A lot of star wars helmets are deceptively complicated to get right, if the smallest thing is off the entire thing falls apart. Look at the latest p2 clone hasbro released in the vintage collection and youll see what i mean.
Lego star wars fans have it way too good man. If they got treated like how hasbro treats its starwars (and marvel) fans the community would literally riot
I love the gunship and the helmet holes are ok i like them but fox is a little weird with that white line and the pink torso but i think it ok and i really want to see how you can modify it ,love your work 🔥👍 And the at-te cockpit and cannon mods are awesome’s and fire love all your mods and alternative build

i got it on sale for 110 bucks back in january. it was an amazing set and i see the complaints with Fox, but im glad lego finally made a new version of him

How would you feel this would be as a converted drop ship for last year’s AT-TE? Since this set is a bit on the light side I figured pairing it with one of my favorite sets would be cool. 😎👍

I really like this version of the gunship. I mist out on the other ones... i think it goes really well with the clones vs battle droids battle pack. With the speeder bike fitting in the conpartment. I bought it on sale for 112 euro. Dunno if i would have payed 149

I do really like this set, it’s my favourite of the year (doesn’t mean it’s the best) and I juts love gunships and Coruscant guards so I ain’t complaining whatsoever. The shocks are the best clone trooper we had in 2020 style and I love the colour scheme

But overall I think they missed out on the perfect set to have this in one big play set in the scene from the mandalorian with a normal gunship and the speeder and the figs could’ve been Kelleran Beq, grogu, 2 shock troopers and 2 regular white clones
