I've owned one of these for over 10 years and it is one of the handiest attachments for grading and leveling. Hard packed gravel and rock is no problem. Cuts out potholes. Works for dirt/ topsoil too. A bucket is not even close because you are lengthening your wheelbase so much more and get a stable, controlled cut.
@@stickyricky345That's good to know. I am hoping to build my first outdoor riding arena for a potential client anytime now. I've been wanting to try a skidsteer grader but haven't yet. Do you recommend over large grader or dozer, etc? Thanks
@@Dirtmonkeyyes....you can run lasers(2D) and then UTS or GPS for 3D. The CAT GB124 is a true grader blade attachment. Any CAT dealer or SITECH dealer can sell them. 👍
Looks good. I own a Quick Attach 6-way dozer blade. It has a wheel kit to use it like a grader. Pull three pins, and you can use them as a dozer blade. It works great cutting ditches, I'll even use it sometimes to move snow. I don't recommend doing unless you know what your doing since it's not a snowplow. This attachment in the video looks like it would work well. Only draw back is that it might be limited to only doing grading. Still, I do like the way it looks and would be easy for a beginner to learn without messing up.
You should come down here on the technick contact days, its the biggest event in europe to test auto heavy machinery. Different machines than in america. We also have here some gems. Its called TKD in Almere
How about AMI Power Rake, have you ever used that I conjunction with this grader attachment? I used both this past weekend because Im about ready to build an airplane hanger at our small airport where I live
@@Dirtmonkey well I guess some people don't like to be proven wrong. Cuz my comments keep getting removed they have a link to a land plane doing the same exact thing that this is doing. Stanley what are you thoughts on using it to level dirt in the yard or are we better off using the skid steer bucket, thuis looks to be more of a road type product. i dont have the bucket power rake tool and cannot find a place to rent one in nashville Tn

Have you ever heard of using the bucket and floating the bucket just a thought seems like an expensive attachment that really if you know how to use the bucket correctly you can get around it
that dose work but not same ! if your floating ok cool but one big rock or stick your gonna get washboard. All i get is bucket and have to float sb2 and gravel in our works parking lot.
You can’t work as efficiently or effectively with a bucket to do this work as much as you can with our CH Grader. Hands down! We could put perform any seasoned skid steer operator with this attachment any day. The price is between $9-$10k
@@Dirtmonkey A bucket can do what this does, just not as fast, you just cut a bit out of the sides and fill the middle and smooth it out. I just don't get the market. Like it's too much bother to do a driveway and nobody is gonna use this little thing on a road. It seems like one of those purchases people make at the end of the year to make their taxes a bit better and later regret.
@@kkknotcool Can’t imagine why I sell so many wear parts if it was just an end of the year tax right off. Speed is everything when the tools you use make you money. Time is money. A bucket can’t crown a road that fast.

If only they had an attachment that made my road grader work like a skid loader.
Would be really slick setup with a laser grade control system.
It has been done
Cat makes a GB124, i have mine set up for 2d laser and 3d UTS, we build custom horse riding arenas.
They work great I've seen it

Cat and Bobcat have had Grader attachments available for years. I believe theirs are also Trimble ready.

If only there was an attachment that allowed you to hear the guy at the end.
Pretty much every back road in south carolina needs this.
That's cool. I'm going to show this to the sales guys at my shop tomorrow.
Very cool
Have to get a $60,000 skid loader to grade the road
Watched, Loved it, Subscribed, rewatched, Commented, shared!
Man that's pretty slick! Love it
Freakin' awesome
"what r' we lookin' at with this?"
My friend msde one from a 3 ton truck frame and pulled it with a c10 truck.(when you are an engineer and have tools, you can make anything.)
Wow this is awesome!
6k lb skid steer on butter

Totally agree
That attachment you described is bigger then I thought
not bad
I have used it since last year and like it more and more
Again... one rock will destroy this machine..
Correction Minnesota mine sweeper . Rumor has it you laid out mines to deter the thefts from your property where not hating just appreciating

Sounds like a cool event
Dang that a winner and I would love to have one 😊
Awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks like a mine sweeper.
That is awesome
I need this.
I love mine!
I need one too
Not heavy enough for cutting hard road surfaces. Grading fill is only thing it really works on. Been there done that
Soft road only. Unless you put a real blade on that thing. For rocks
This would be a great video if I could hear what that guy was saying instead of lousy music…
More to come
wow mat from demo ranch need that thing
If you call that road that looks like a cow trail through the trees
Looks like most of the long gravel/dirt driveways I have every been on. Def not logging roads, but it would make money in my neck of the woods.
What is it like on steep rocky ground.?
Nice setup, but but needs a left or right angle adjustment
Thats one thing it won't do
@@Dirtmonkey it would after I got done cutting and welding on it
These have been around for 20+ years…for CTL’s.
Better stay on the road surface with it…won’t hold up to much off road abuse
Stan you got any older high hour skidsteers for sale?
Where has this been
The wheel guide seems pointless. It is already riding on the ski's. Wheels seem to only assist in tilt angle, which any decent operator could correct.
I don't see that working very well
Only for soft sand driveways.
How about AMI Power Rake, have you ever used that I conjunction with this grader attachment? I used both this past weekend because Im about ready to build an airplane hanger at our small airport where I live
Now would my old sperry newholland l775 skidsteer manage that 🤔.. Nice one though... 👍🏻
50HP is all you need!
Good question.
It is more like a land plane that has more adjustments
A land plane is much smaller and can not cut depth nor does it have skid walls for material containment.
well said. This has dual adjustments and will contain material

what?

You might be more interested in our E Series grader for that job. You would only need about 45hp for the E Series. The one in the video requires 50HP.
This would do a clean finish grade.
Float mode? So 1999
Great for sand
Looks about as handy as dragging an i beam
Where do I get one and how much
Look up road runner attachments
We have something similar its called a snow blade it aslo works as a snowplow
All you need is a bucket to do this
Man Stanley became a sell out....
