Bought a used grader attachment for my kubota skid steer off Facebook market side. Used for the first time on a 700 foot new driveway we built. Watch and see how it worked.

I've been waiting for this video since you first mentioned getting the grader. I like it! On a side note, Kleeman saw his shadow so that means 6 more weeks of Dirt Perfect videos.

    Great driveway.
Excellent idea, grader attachment for skid loader. Perfect size for your operation.
Laid down tens of thousands of loads with grader, dozer.
Prefer thick. And Driver, don’t leave gaps, lol.
That Mylar fabric is amazing stuff, need about 4 inches on it to really start working.
Maybe we need that Driver down the street to show us how it’s done? LW. LOL.

I gotta say the grader attachement looks a lot more useful than I expected ! In the vid when you went and got it I was thinking you were going to be real disappointed but this vid seemed to show it preforming really well ! I didn't think it would be heavy enough , granted this was all loose material but Your other equipment is for the initial heavy work this will make the finish work better appearing and faster maybe ! A little tweaking and you're in business for a reasonable price ! You can always trade up when you out grow, this one , I,might be interested ! Thanks for the video

I believe mike u would really like the dozer blade for the skid steer. Just remember it's not a dozer. I'm just saying this as u just bought this for ur skid steer. I like the grader attachment. The thing I do like is the dozer blade, mostly I use it for spreading stone, but the bucket works just as well if not better some times.
I'm not sure what the goats in the grass had to do with a grade attachment pushing rocks or dirt but it was what ever.

That grader attachment looks to be handier than a pocket on a Dirt Perfect shirt. Which I have never seen do anything yet by the way. 😉
It certainly showed its strength once you weren’t trying to grade out baseball sized and bigger rocks.
I’ve only ever played around on a grader but have heard that a grader is THE most difficult piece of road building equipment to master. Perhaps it could be on your list of machines to operate when you embark on one of your Dirt Perfect on the Road trips you mentioned in the live stream.

Sometimes - as you well know - you see people that just aren't cut out to be operators - of Anything! lol - I'm thinking that was the case with the seller of that grader attachment. He was probably very frustrated - much like your 1st pass - when shit's the roughest - wheels whippin' every which way - then after a couple passes and getting a true feel for it - she starts to come in-line! In the right hands - this attachment is GOLD! Nice Score! I bet you could even get a scarifier implement ahead of the blade on a 4th cylinder?!

Can you explain to me the concept of the front wheels on the grader. To me it seems if they drop into a hollow, the blade goes down with it. How do you get a flat surface if the front wheels are following the road contour, thus the blade is doing the same thing.
    |I get that the operator can raise and lower the blade, but I doubt he can do it quick enough if the wheels drop into a pot hole and the blade digs into the road.

I think your helper needs a shovel in his hand instead a camera so he could shovel the grass off the edge of the road. Also how much do you lap the edge of the fabric under the other when you have a joint? The people I worked for had me do 12 to 18 inches. I'm just curious as to what other people do. 👍

Good friend of mine has one of those we run on a 299 cat. Really want to try it on the 906h2 wheel loader I have at the plant. Going to watch the video on how you rigged up that controller real quick

If you ever go the laser way, look up ‘sharpgrade leveller’ built in NZ but they export round the world, they’re really popular

Thanks for the update. Like I said on your last video. I've been thinking about getting one of these graders for my business. I'll be looking for one on the used market. Although they are not as common as other attachments. So maybe I'll get a new one will. Also, how many inches of rock did you put down?
