Looks great. The only thing I don't like is a stiff connector hanging out a port like that. I'm always concerned it will have something crank on it and damage the port. I'm going to look into this but I definitely want to find a cable version of that adapter.
It installs, works, and I have similar static on my screen. My curiosity now is more focused on the app you used and how to use this application to show meaningful data on the screen. What type of signal would I need to do that? I tried several signals with what sounded like morse code, but only got random letters and characters. Do you have another video that would go over that part more? Thank you.
Well I'll be a son of a gun. I've had an iPad Pro for years, but it got beat to death, and I finally replaced it a couple weeks ago with a more recent, refurbished one. My first iPad with USB-C. So, like, I had NOTHING that worked with it. Apple Pencil is Lightning, & isn't recognized with Apple Lightning-to-USB-C adapter. Was getting disheartened, thinking I'd have to get a FocusRite or some crazy baloney to use this with FT8, Morse, etc. Well, I had a USB-whatever-used-to-go-into-printers to USB-C cable. Plugged it in. Answered the pop-up question with "Headphones". Just had successful tests with both CW and FT8! Granted, FTdx3000, but I'm sure the FT-991A will behave the same (has with Linux laptop, so why not).
down load fl diggi plug in your speaker head phone jack you read the code if you good with computer you can do other things also your sound come out your computer speaker

All I wanna know is how I can just hook up an external monitor to my 991-a. I just need bigger display.

so you need to use 2 different programs to send and receive CW ?
