Israel has set up a temporary evacuation area with expanded humanitarian aid nearby in nearby Al-Mawasi.
Hamas has purposely embedded many of their people in Rafah where the IDF would have to evacuate innocent civilians first, or risk extensive collateral civilian deaths. Hamas does this on purpose, sometimes even putting roadblocks to prevent civilians from evacuating. Then they say it’s all Israel’s fault.
When you are going to take down a terrorist group, you cannot allow their cowardly human shield tactics to deter you, as that will give legitimacy to that tactic, making terrorists go “wow, that works!”. Thus, innocent civilians get caught in the crossfire. Hamas does not care about the lives of innocent Palestinian civilians, while Israel does what it can to minimize civilian casualties.

Since the start of the Oct 7 war, Israel has declared only one area to be designated as a safe zone- Al-Mawasi. It is only 5-miles away from the heart of Rafah- which is basically a 20-minute drive or a 90 minute walk. Over the past few days, IDF has decided to expand the safe zone because more space will be needed for the evacuees, and declared that Khan Yunis (right next to Al-Mawasi) will also be a safe zone as well. The size of Khan Yunis more than doubles the size of Al-Mawasi. Again, it's only a 5-mile distance from Rafah.

In my opinion, I would just let Isreal do what it wants. They have the freedom of rights and expression to attack palenstinian regions who attacked them physically. There's a reason why this war got started in the first place. This should teach the Middle East that the world is getting tired of terrorists attacks. Luckily, Isreal is doing the world a favor by doing this because later on down the road the world will get stick and tired of these terror groups. I don't agree with Isreal, but again, they're doing the world a huge favor.
I would also like to say that it's pretty ridiculous that the world immediately blamed the US for what Isreal is doing as if we told them to attack. The US has NOTHING to do with Isreal's choice of action. We don't own Isreal. They are just an ally and business partner for the world economy, that's it. At the end of the day, every country as the right to choose what physical action to take if their country gets physically attacked on purpose by another.
So, people who blame the US aren't really paying attention to what's happening around them and just want to put the blame on the US to vent their anger. It's when people started chanting "Down with the US!..." and "We vow vengeance on the US!...", etc. This ranges from the Middle East(which is just normal) and US, which is strange. But whatever.
I'm also glad that pro-palenstine got arrested for their nasty protest. Holding buildings hostage, blocking up roads, harassing Jewish communities and just down right being straight asshole to public because they are from a different culture from what is happening across seas is not okay.
