#SickOfMyself - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I can absolutely feel the Yorgos Lanthimos vibes. I love those kind of movies that explore humanity in such an intimate and grotesque representation.
This post pushed me out the door to go see it. Thanks!!
@@pinkfrankenstein and this comment gave me goosebumps... Sending love🤗🤗❤️
@@RockieJ3 If you have any other recommendations I'm all ears. I don't know how to filter out movies anymore since all the weekly newspapers went away. :(
(I tend not to like modern gross stuff like The Lighthouse or the Midsommer guy)
Films I like:
Lanthimos's
Ruben Oslund's
Claire Denis's
The Borgman
Looking forward to Poor Things!
@@pinkfrankenstein I see we have similar taste! It is a genre of movies that I still find difficult to define. A movie that gives off a similar vibe and that pops in my mind at the moment is Funny Games (1997) by Michael Haneke, for the sick mind of some characters. Also, you could possibily like the series The White Lotus by Mike White, especially the first season. Thanks for your suggestions, I noted down all the directors you quoted hahaha
was he involved with it??...
one of the best films i've ever seen this year 🎬 was a pleasure to project this one, here in México 🌸
what people nowadays do to be on social media or become influencers this movie hit it on the spot.
Ari Aster called it 'demonic', must be good
This movie has a lot of Ari Aster's vibes ❤
Wow, looks just as good as "Dream Scenario"!
Kristoffer Borgli is great!!
This looks wild af
it is
One of the best movies I’ve saw recently. Recommended!
This looks incredible
Such an incredible film! I highly recommend! 🙌🏻
Highly recommended! Very intense and grotesque.
The woman's vulnerable narcissism, the man's grandiose narcissism. Metaphorically and literally destroying her body and her self.
It was amazing!!!
Incredible movie
Must seen!
I need the praying pullover in the bus scene!
giving ruben ostlund vibes a little
No doubt
The square was fantastic I still have to watch TOS

Do we have the same sister?
This could be good
Major ruben östlund vibes

Name of piano music? sounds kinda familiar
Dolly, Op. 56-1 Berceuse by Faure
Primus - Shake hands with beef
Perfect thriller

Safe and effective
Me too.
So good i didnt watched the trailer before the movie. Could have ruined for me. This is exactly why I avoid trailers. Anyway, i loved the movie. 8/10
Is it worth a watch? Be honest
its giving...Mason Verger vibes
No disrespect, I am using Siri, who wants to see this with me?🎉
Omg i bet that guy gets jealous she becomes more famous than him & he tries to ruin everything she built but it also looks like it’s got horror aspects as well I love
It's the other way around, sorry to disappoint x
She is the sick one!
@IgnasKrikstaponis why would they list this movie as comedy? More like drama horror
It’s called a black comedy..
A really great example of disability 'crip humour'
It's not fiction
Didn't like it at all. The film keeps playing us, showing fantasy and going back to reality. I just wished they would take one direction and stick with it. Sometimes when a film has a character which is unlikeable, there is enough going on that we are willing to put up with it. This film had little depth to it. Fortunately the film was under two hours long.
not very good reviews, also it would be better if they didn't show the entire movie on the trailer
it has 100% on rotten tomatoes 🤔
I have just seen it and loved it, discomforting but in a good way if you like movies that do that
yall remember when movies were supposed to bring us joy? when was the last time anybody made a movie of any depth that didn't produce a feeling of sheer revulsion in you? im tired of it
There are plenty of "feel good" movies with a significant depth, but don´t expect to see that from Nordic authors
"All quiet on the western front" 1930s version
I agree!
@@marcosgallagher5299 to be fair there’s Worst Person In The World
oh shut up
Wtf? Wtf is wrong with people? Why would you make this movie?
Sure. Just completetely rip off Killing of a Sacred Deer and hope noone notices.
It’s literally nothing like that film.
Another film I did not like.
Why are western movies always that dramatic? It seems every art made by the nordics is super depressive.
Ps: I have depression in fact, so it makes me curious. Those are such hard themes to be continuously explored
The Scandinavians rank among the "happiest" societies in the world on various metrics, so I wonder if they make depressing films in sort of the same way that everyone else makes horror films? Horror films let us be "terrified" within a safe context. Maybe the Scandi audience is curious to know what it would be like if the whole of society hated itself and each other, or if all your family died, or if you were a total failure with no way to climb the ladder, etc. There are depressing American films of course, but you know whole demographics won't go to see those because the last thing they need is made up depression to compare to their real depression. It could also have something to do with those crazy winter daylight hours, right?
@@gospelofrye6881 it's a valid speculation. We usually add up to what we don't in order to simulate how things would feel like, even if we don't actually want to live it. I am aware about their happiness results as well but there are many interviews on youtube that also say otherwise... let's see
@@gospelofrye6881they rank as the happiest on all these fake lists that only consider things you can measure such as income, quality of their roads etc. all important things, yes, but so are community, how lonely people feel and those you cannot measure and put on the paper. Scandies on these lists are one thing and Scandies in reality are a different thing entirely. They are very lonely, sad and depressed people. Nice, yes, but I would never call them happy. I usedto buy into the hype l, but then I spent years visiting, learning, my ex is Scandinavian too. Lots of darkness there, and I don’t mean just outside in the sky.
reaally hateful thanks
It's art, get over it
What? How is this hateful?
Huh?!
Female Trouble.
Great movie!
