Thanks for watching! Yeah this was a gorgeous February day in Arizona - some of the best weather around! P.S. I just got a a DJI Mini 2, so I'll be upping my game soon...
Hey! Thanks for watching! Do you have a favorite after binge watching? I had a little bit of a health hiccup this spring, and finally getting close to getting my fitness at a point to be able to film while climbing mountains again :) Definitely plan to get some more summits up soon!
@Aloganpiercing Awesome! Have a great time out on Quartz! The high point of the Estrellas is definitely a much bigger trip. Hope to get back out to that range soon!
@@Loganhikes Also, if you haven't been out that way before, be sure to check out the map in the links - I also posted the driving route after the last paved road. It can get a little confusing out there and Google can sometimes have a little trouble finding the right driving route.
@@OptimisticProminence ya I checked out the link after I watched the video and that map is awesome. Thanks for including it. Thanks, I m too excited lol
@@OptimisticProminence I agree. Arizona has so many beautiful hiking trails. I did the Havasupai and South Coyote butte two years ago.. I want to come back and try my luck again for The Wave ☺️ Great to connect so i get idea of other hikes in your area.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, Utah and Arizona have a lot in common for sure! Especially up in Northern Arizona where it borders Utah, they are pretty much the same. But even down near Phoenix, it can feel like Utah a little bit. I would say that Utah mountains and rocks tend to be much smoother sandstone style, while Central and South Arizona is a little bit more chunky, if that makes any sense 😂 But they do both have so much space to explore and adventure!
Thanks so much for watching! I don't actually have any summit videos in McDowell Regional Park. It is definitely one of my favorite places to run, so I have a lot of footage, especially at sunset! If you are looking for videos from other regional parks, I have two in Usery Mountain Regional Park (Pass Mountain and Usery Mountain) and also Goldmine Mountain in San Tan Regional Park. I do hope to make a video next time I head up Thomson Peak from the McDowell Park side, and I have also been thinking about Elephant Mountain from Cave Creek Regional Park. Do you have a favorite of all the Regional Parks?!
@@OptimisticProminence awesome I will look for your other videos and subscribe to your channel, and yes i really like Estrella regional park , great trails for hiking and mountain biking also White Tank regional park has some nice trails too , look into Skyline regional park as well a hidden gem
@@jesurunblends Yeah I love White Tank and Estrella Parks too! I climbed Barry Goldwater peak in the White Tanks years ago, long before I had a camera, but that would have been a good one to make a video for. I'll have to look in to Skyline, I haven't been there yet, thanks for the recommendation! I love getting my money's worth out of the Regional Parks Pass.
@@OptimisticProminence I'm the same way with the regional park pass I get moneys worth 3 times over lol, I have two weeks off coming up when u have the time in the future if you could make a video on the best trail loops that would be awesome Cave Creek regional park has an awesome one, great day!
I don't remember seeing a summit register! I usually spend time looking for the benchmark, but I don't usually look for registers. Have you made it up to this one before?
@@OptimisticProminence Ya I have done this one probably 3 times. I added an additional notebook last time to the register bc it was so full. You were literally standing on top it basically if you found the geo survey markers.
@@HikingAZ that's good to know, for sure! I don't usually sign them so maybe I did see it but just didn't pay attention. This is a really fun peak, and usually quiet too!
Beautiful video, weather was perfect for hiking. Fabulous video.

So cool scenery! Is the Arizona nature similar to Utah with all mountains and trails?
