I have a dif PS3 and it won't take any disk at all

my disc won't pop up on ps3 fat or spin I'm guessing
friend put new laser in it not working just cd or DVD nor blu ray disc

My problem was the little yellow ribbon cable that sits in between the blue ones on the blu ray drives board
My PS3 phat takes discs in halfway then stops. I have to force it in the rest of the way. Any idea what's causing that?
It won't read blue ray but a regular disc works just fine
I have a question I have a PS3 slim and I took it apart to clean so I took apart the disc drive too I cleaned the lens and put everything back together now it won’t sense a disc going in but it will eject just not sense a disc going in can you help me?
Sounds like a bad lens or loose cable. If you fixed the cable and cleaned the lens then might need more repair
Lift the lid up just slightly while trying to insert the disc with no cover. The magnet piece is probably not creating enough of a gap for the disc to be recognized.
