The best video about how properly execute a punch, the Wing Tzun style! Sifu Boztepe is definitely the real deal, and one of the best Wing Tzun practitioners in the world! Thanks for the upload!
I'm glad that you took a moment to mention that development is up to the martial artist as an individual, and that you have to train appropriately. "If you wanna fight Tyson you gotta practice 3 hours in the morning, 3 hours in the afternoon." To inform the people that it is their own responsibility to defend themselves, and not the duty of the art form, is to have integrity.
What I like about his teaching and skill is that it has come from real world training. Not competition or just in school skills, but real encounters that most people will hopefully never encounter. He has, thereby knowing what can work and sharing his skill and knowledge will improve yours. Respect
I helped get that gym ready to open, 1998. Came back a few months later and Dai Si-Fu had pulled one of the those dummies half off the wall. Someone had hung it just into drywall! HA! Those were great times, this was filmed in 1999 I think, Beverly Hills CA...
He is famous for his 80’s embarrassment of William Cheung, Emin is a great fighter. My sifu loved showing us this footage 👍🏻. I have a photo of Emin with my grandmaster. Thank you Emin 🙏

People who are complaining about the science behind the triangle method of his arms pushing away and deflecting the attackers fist and arms, are not understanding what he is speaking about. He is NOT speaking about how his arm is longer. Yes he pointed out that he can make his shoulders relaxed and up front but the actual deflecting is done because of the way the arm is placed and how the punch in Wing chun is VERY VERY different than another other martial art system. The ANGLE deflects. It does not matter if the defender is 4foot. and the attacker is 7 foot. IF done correctly it still will deflect that incoming punch because non Wing Chunners are relying on body hip weight twists and shoulder arm muscle power so there's many flaws, while the wing chunner rockets the punch via the ELBOW so it wont' stop when you touch a wing chunners arm or shoulder. Also there are several really good videos of Wing Chun people who are under 5:10 fighting or sparring with taller people. Wing chun is not easily understood by those who just spectate. The energy of "how" you punch is hard to describe.
Basically Wing Tsun is the copyrighted martial art of Leung Ting which has an actual organisation, syllabus and a rank system. The Wing Chun can refer to the whole style and its numerous branches. Also William Cheung or other Ip Man student`s style is referred to as Wing Chun. Somebody wrote here that the Wing Tsun is modified, which is false. The Wing Tsun is the full Ip Man Wing Chun, but the application of the techniques are extended to counter eg. Thai Boxing or wrestling. Also worth to note that in Chinese there is no difference in writing or pronunciation between the different Wing Chun styles` names. There is also Ving Tsun, Wing Tjun and whatnot.

Sifu Emin answered ur question a few minutes into the video. He was referring to fighting Mike Tyson instead of MMA cause it wasn't that popular yet back then. What he said is that one needs to be ready to defend within his/her own environment. If you wanted to fight Iron Mike or an MMA fighter you would have to train twice a day for three to four hours each. Totally different environment to what you might encounter in everyday situations. You don't run into professional fighters every single day.
Michael was no total beginner even in this video. And if you are referring to the third gentleman that comes in he had a few years under his belt as well.
How come you don't see many Kung Fu fighters in MMA then, if Kung Fu is so effective in a real fight? Because it's too fancy, with too many "for show" moves. It's not built around what really works. Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on the other hand are examples of styles that are extremely effective. That's why they are so common in MMA. I've seen alot of fights between Kung Fu practitioners, and practitioners from other styles, and the pattern seems quite clear; Kung Fu doesn't seem very effective against full-contact karate practitioners for example, or against other styles that are formed around full-contact practise and competition rather than solely theory and kata.
@@liang3102 Just so you know; when loosing a discussion because you lack evidence for your claims, replying with "hahaha" only makes you look more foolish.
Intelligence is non-negotiable..... Let's take a boxing trainer versus a professional boxer who makes his money exclusively from boxing. Who would win in a boxing match? Definitely a professional boxer. Principle understood? You want to compare a professional MMA fighter who trains from morning to night and gets in the ring with people who don't train at that intensity. But let's assume there is a preparation period and no cage fight with a judge. Who would win then? ---> NO IDEA! A real fight is not predictable and is not fought with minutes of BJJ ground fighting on the asphalt.

sorry guys can you answer this question
what is the difference between wing-tsun and wing-chun ?
sorry for my bad english
thank you very much
ip man did write ving tsun for english people, not wing chun
I've heard it explained as WC holding true to the Ip Man lineage and WT referring to the Leung Ting modified style.
There are many versions of Wing Chun, and Wing Chun students of each style hate each other, even though we train the same system in the end...
