Hey mate, Garmin help assistant I spoke to re voice command obviously did not know unit. I had speach on UK English and no voice command. Changed to English Australian and now voice command works. Sorry for wrong comment the other day.

Hi! I’m about to buy this overlander. I cant find the answer if there is a possibility of playing music through it. My car hasnt got bluetooth but it has mini jack. garmin overlander has it as well. Garmin Overlander is giving us an option to use it as hands free system but how about music?

I added a memory card but it doesn't allow me to put Any maps on it so what is it good for? The Only purpose I would want to use the memory card for is to install maps on it, makes no sense.
Importing GPX Files with a Memory Card You can import data, such as waypoints, routes, and tracks in .gpx file format from a compatible microSD® card. Insert a compatible microSD card containing one or more .gpx files into the memory card slot on your device (Installing a Memory Card for Maps and Data). On your Overlander™ device, select Explore > Library > Import to Explore > Memory Card. Select one or more .gpx files, and select SELECT. Select an option: To import the files as unorganized locations, select Import as Unorganized. To import the files to a collection, select a collection. Select IMPORT.
@@4WheelsOnTheRoad Thanks for the instructions but most .gpx files are very small and don't take up much memory. I installed a 64mb memory card thinking I could put maps on it and found out later that was a waist.
Which would be even more of a waist of space since you can't install the maps onto the card. 64mb is overkill so why would I want to use even more?@@4WheelsOnTheRoad
lover you work, i recently purchased a Garmin overland but have found it very hard to use , maps don't seem to show roads or track names found my google maps superior for planning trips , there doesnt seem to be and map loading option , like hema etc , can you make suggestions before i toss it out the window in frustration. thanks David
re street names. this may occur for a couple of reasons, try these, change how far in/out you are zoomed, or enable and disable different layers and also make sure you have donwloaded maps for your area when you sync the unit with your computer or with the app
Strangely enough I am, they also make the nicest fire flint and gave me a free sticker with it so I decided to put it in the blank space in the centre console there

@@SaboSells ok 64 meg is very old and very small, you can get a 1 gig card for a couple of dollars these days

Hi David, I understand tech can be hard, I went through a lot of frustration myself learning the unit, I'll try to help
1st up - not sure if you are aware but the manual is include on the units, settings-tools-owners manual
