Kagama is hands down insane out of control ton of power and actually works out of the box
I love the kagama my favorite truggy for the drive and power out of the box exb too but I just prefer the kagama slightly more if I had parts support locally/upgrades I wouldn’t bother with Kraton anymore tbh

$700 then to have to do major adjustments to fully enjoy it. the landing on everyone's ch with this baja is the same . it looks cool and all. good size, great power but just to many mix emotions this is not for me
They’ve gotten rid of their brushed set ups. With any luck maybe the next step is to update/ upgrade their brushless systems ? I had vxl 6S cutting out exactly like that , very frustrating. Great video Jason

It is the temp sensor shorting out on the motor
@@dalejohnson3205 actually mine ended up being a pinched antenna , replaced and it was fine. But it acted the same way
Great initial thoughts.
Mine does the same thing. It cuts throttle at random and always at terrible times. I’ve reached out to traxxas and they’re literally no help and refuse to warranty anything.
And now if tsm is on at all, it won’t let me turn. Soon as I turn off tsm my steering is fine.
I removed the vxl6s and the radio. Installed a max 8 and my Radiolink gear. It’s a whole different truck now.

I'm having the same problem with my ESC and I call traxas they told me it was because the system was overheated but that don't make no sense cause I was lily running my truck for exactly around 10 minutes when the first time it shut off on me in the air and calls me to come down about a normal house roof height from the air and hit the Bay the grass I didn't break but it doesn't all the time change my But it's my way it's my fault because of the way I'm driving and I have to learn to tether the guy And it's not meant to run full out all the time So simplest thing to do is to change it out I know it's the ECU

Them tires catch any little bump while sideways and that thing is rolling like Cheech and Chong bro!! It’s not just you… suspension tuning is necessary

You walk into your hobby shop you see this Traxxas and the Mojave 6s you only have money for 1
Which one are you walking out with?
Because that’s the dilemma I have
Honestly Mojave, I have both. The Maxx slash is tougher. But the Mojave 6s does everything better. Has way better handling in air and on road. Wrecks way less. The battery tray is usable, and the electronics are way better. The throttle consistency and accuracy on the traxxas stuff really isn’t that good compared to anyone else. Even my Xmaxx the ESC is an issue right out the box. Arrma has a warranty and will actually cover things.
I was about to write that I would choose the Mojave 4s over the maxx slash. And the maxx slash over the mojave 6s. But I replaced the vxl6s with a max 8, and I am now using my Radilink RC8X. And I am really liking the maxx slash. I'll have an upgrade video coming on Wednesday showing the max 8 and a quick little run with it.
So to answer your question, I really need more time with the Maxx Slash. But I am liking it a lot.

Why not call traxxas and replace esc ?
Cause they won’t. Their warranty is useless. My ESC on my maxx slash has been an issue right out the box. Had weird thermal, cut outs, flashing red on ESC. One ESC wire was damaged and was able to fix it. But it still cuts out just like in this video.
I’ve contacted traxxas multiple times to try to get help in fixing this or replacing it and not one time was I ever offered any type of actual help. Was told to change the pinion and was my driving that was the issue.

That is ridiculous I can not believe they told you that it was your driving. Just more of traxxas trying to nickel and dime us🙄
@@JeepBullyI’ve had no problem getting an exchange even with no receipt… but would have to pay 1/2 cost …
They are asking $700 Usd for this truck - how about fitting it with a half decent ESC to start with ?
@@JeepBully I had the same problem I said it was unstable they said its too powerful?? I need to run it on 4s, I put a new servo saver in it so the wheels would stop flopping around on their own now it runs great. I guess this is stronger than the Xmaxx and XRT I have lol

The electronics are s*** and what's up with the plastic server in the front for an $800 truck are you serious they didn't even put the upgraded Hobbs and stuff and did they put in the new the new tracks as max cause they knew they were bad to put the old ones in this

Since that video, I've replaced the vxl6s with a max 8. And I am now running my RC8X instead of the tqi. There are good things about both. The one thing the Slash has going for it is the power. 6s is much more fun.
I'll have an upgrade video coming out Wednesday, and you'll see the improvement with the max 8.
