Can’t wait to see what Aragon’s silver brings in this years kids.
Indeed the most COLORFUL breed of goat!
LOVE this video - Genetics is probably my favorite sector of Biology and who wouldn’t want to study it through goats?! ❤
I like the chamoisee. I'm from India and my granny has a breed called Sirohi and this breed is covered in moonspots. Love u guyz ❤.
❤❤❤
Ohh, I'm from India too
Crystal, I love all of them. I just always hope one of Dreamers kids takes the heart on her right side.
I like all the colors the Nigerian dwarf goats are so cute ❤
I love the Nigerian colors. My fav is the Chamoise. Except for your new silver buck - he's awesome! I've been watching since '19, and never tire of watching them.
🤗
Very interesting info about your beautiful goats. I love their varied colors.
I appreciate your education videos!
I love the picture with all of them laying down. So pretty.
I love the lavender bar!! Been watching since kids were little
They are growing up too fast!
It’s hard for me to choose but I love the silver, co Clair, Swiss, and Dawn was so beautiful, Bessie and Tippy well their coats are beautiful also and look so soft and cuddly. Wildee just stands out with her coat. Piper stands out also. See I waffle back and forth on the coats. You have some beautiful coats in your herd, can’t wait to see the next batch of babies. Argon, Marshall, and the full grown buck in a tiny package, will bring some surprises in coat patterns this breeding year, can’t wait.
I love chamoise because one of my favorite goats in the herd had that pattern. It’s always fun on kidding day to see what they will have.
You explain things so well. I appreciate that.
I love the way you describe things so much
I really like silver u need that in herd and that swiss doe u need to get !!! Really exiting about silver buck babies will be colorful
Silver and light gold are my favorites
They are so pretty.
Those silvers are just gorgeous!
All the goats are so beautiful.❤
I will be honest I love the red gold, with white underlay, I hope I said that right. 😊
We❤🔵🌵🍶🐐s!!!
I dont have a favorite i love how all the goats look.
I love all the colors in the patterns. They’re all beautiful. 10:01
My favorite is couClair & gold.
I love all the goats 🐐 ❤❤🙏💕👍👏💯🐶👏👍💕🐐💕
Beautiful goats and soaps!
I love them ALL!❤❤❤
I’ve always had a soft spot for Swiss marked goats, but Im loving the look of the silvers! And heavily moonspotted blacks are really cool too.
Chamoisee is one of my favorites. One of my lamanchas is a Toggenberg marked and she is gorgeous too.
I love watching yall are helpful ❤
I love the Chamoisee I just think it’s beautiful!!
I love all your goaties!❤
It was getting into goat spots, as art inspiration for my painting, that first drew me to your channel (during COVID lockdown). I fell in love with Nigerians*, and your channel, as you do such an excellent job as a teacher/host. I'm an avid follower of your channel. I would love to win your soaps because, as a single disabled person, I have not yet been able to buy them. I already follow you on Etsy. So next, it's off to email... *edit: I should have said goats, because, although I have met some lovely Nigerian people, I cannot say in truth that I fell in love with them. 🤣🤣🤣
Haha! Well I'm glad you found us! I'd love to see a picture of your painting!
I'm all about the flashy 😍 Not going to compromise conformation, but if I get a good body covered in adorable colors with bright blue eyes I'm thrilled 🥰 Especially a broken chamoisee with overlay moonspots. Or a chocolate cou clair 😍
I really like the Chamoisee also, but they are all beautiful.😊🐐🐐
I like chamoisee with the heavy white overlay.I love Dreamer and I think Bessie is totally adorable 😊it's too bad you can't leave her cute little top knot on for shows. Legend has just about destroyed his Elvis bangs.😢 Did you notice that he and Champ rub their heads in the same place when they are going into rut ? Male pattern balding 😅
❤
Great video
As always I enjoyed your video. And I learned alot about your goat colors. Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays.
I love the gold as I loved Elsa
My favorite pattern would be a combination of Swiss/Chamoisee. It looks like a Chamoisee goat but has white stockings instead of black. Just google "Old Mountain Farm Bold Elk."
In goats, the color determining region of DNA is called Agouti Locus: There are 8 possibilities. 1. Gold (Dominant). 2. Black (Recessive). The other patterns are dominant over "Black" pattern, but recessive to "Gold" pattern. They are: 3. Buckskin. 4. Chamoisee. 5. Swiss. 6. Cou Claire. 7. Sundgau. 8. Bezoar. The numbers 5-8 are generally considered to be predominant in the Swiss breed of goats. 😂
You'll notice that genes 3-8 have both black and tan areas (bicolored goat). For example when a goat inherits a copy of Chamoise and buckskin gene. Both will be expressed. The tan areas corresponding to both genes will be expressed, but only overlapping black areas will be expressed. Hence a Buckskin/Chamoisee will look like a gold goat with a black line on their foot.
I have to say I’m biased with my boy who is a blue eyed, cou clair with moonspots! I can’t wait for his babies in the spring! I love your soaps!
My husband and I are going to be starting a dairy with goats since I am lactose intolerant This is helpful to me
It's hard to pick but the ones that really catch my eye in your herd are Cami, Wildee, Ray, Daisy, Bessie, and Aragon. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention how beautiful I thought Dawn was. ❤
Dawn was beautiful!! Check your Patreon messages girl! Glad to hear from you!
Oh, so many colors/patterns to choose from! They're all so pretty!
Thanks for this detailed information. I know I will be referring back to this video often!
Medium Buckskin and White Spotting are my favorites ❤️❤️❤️ Cami and Daisy
Love these educational videos! I will have to rewatch it to pick my favorite.
I like Swiss and chamoisee.
I really love your beautiful goats
Nefarious has the darkest brown eyes we have ever seen. Most of our goats have gold or blue.
Dark is uncommon in my herd too but they're so pretty!
swiss is still my favorite
I loved the apple crisp...smelled good enough to eat 😊❤. Been following you guys for quite a while.. have watched your family and herd grow. Love you guys ❤️. Merry Christmas 🎄
🤗
❤ & Merry Christmas 🎄 ..
💞🙋🏼♀️🐈🐕
Love all you guys do.
Love the goats and I know there is so much work involved but, with great rewards.
Enjoy being with
I love them all, if I had to choose it would be the Swiss.
I'm looking forward to trying your soap here in the UK 🇬🇧.
I have several Sundgau and Swiss marked does (standered breeds) as well as a red roan, blue roan, and some with gray roaning. Gotta say I love those colors!
I really liked the picture of the little goats. Especially the little leopard one. Full of polka dots. Forget what you called her. Happy Holidays.
May, Mayo, and the Buckskin are some of my favorites.
I have "mutt" goats!!! Blue is getting big!! I love all your soaps and am gifting bars to friends and family for Christmas this year.. I will need to restock mine soon! Love to all of you! ❤😘
That was very informative!😊
Enjoyed the video 😊
Thank you for sharing your beautiful Goats. You are the best!
Hi Crystal and family
I love all the goats Dinkie was my favorite.
What’s the name of your new puppy?
Have Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎊 🎉
His name is Blue! :)
I would love some free goat soap❤
How do i get some
Wow nice lovely
It’s so hard to choose just 1! My favorite pattern is chamoise (even solids! My buck is a solid cham) but the flashier the better!😍
They are all beautiful!!!! I want one,two,,,no...... maybe ALL OF THEM 😊😊😊😊 interesting coat patterns you are talking about i enjoyed it immensely. Thanks for teaching about coats❤ it really interests me alot!!! Greatjob I would love to meet you and your family including your animals. ❤❤
Ok.... so Elsa was actually very light gold carrying Swiss. That's where the VERY gold Everest came from right? And that Swiss buck popped out from her recessive Swiss?
That's awesome.
Yep! Crazy, huh?
Yes very!
Im a sucker for all haha! But I love cou blanc ! I just found me a good. Doe with good milk lines behind her and I can’t wait !!
Anything with white overlay and blue eyes lol.
Lol.
It is hard to choose 1. I am drawn to moon spots. And black. I can't choose just 1. You have a lot of great colors. But I would choose 1 that has the straight backline and strong bones and legs over color. Thanks for the clip of the dogs playing.
Always choose confirmation over color but it's still ok to have a favorite pattern
I love this video! Random question: Are you guys gonna bring back the goat of the week videos?
We were just talking about getting that going again :)
Can't wait! Thanks!
I've watched your show for years and it's always so enjoyable and interesting. You give such a knowledgable lesson of how to raise goats. I wanted to have goats at one time in my life but now I'm too old to have them You make it look easy. My favorite goat is the ones with the moon spots
I love to watch how you make your soaps
We have the holly jolly bar, and my family LOVES this one also. And the candy cane is amazing! As far as goat patterns, thank you for this video. I am still new and will definitely come back to this video when my ladies have their kids. I am not sure on this part yet.
🤗
l like animals 🎉❤❤❤❤
Fascinating! I had no idea. Thanks for sharing this information. I just love the black boots on my young twin does, I think it looks so sharp.
I love Chamoisee , Calico , and buck skin those are my favorite colors. I love all your goats, you make a really good videos. I would like to buy one of Cammy or Mayo baby. ❤
Cami's my favorite

Good video
❤
I love Chamoise and moon spots I’m from Washington.
I have a sundgau nigerian dwarf doe! She is so pretty and is due in March to have some babies.
chamoisee And buckskin dark or light Would be my pick there beautiful ❤
Ma'am shamoze is my favourite
I kina wanted to know about red goats or soild red
Are they just a variation of black or gold. I cant tell as their shade varies from light to dark
Recessive red is a hard one to tell apart from gold in most cases. There are less variations than gold but very similar. The genes work different though. Where a gold kid born has to have a gold parent (dominant gene) the red gene is a recesive gene and both parents have to have it to pass it on to a kid. So if you have two parents with their coat patterns that aren't red and they have a "gold" looking kid, it's more than likely the recessive red gene.
@@BlueCactusDairyGoatsthanku, thats an interesting fact about genetics 💗
Thanks for this really good video and the info on patterns and coat colors. It will help a lot when the babies start arriving. I'll actually have more of an idea of what you're saying. Love all of your videos.
Rainbow goats
I loved the little moon spot baby that was absolutely covered in the moon spots
Buckskin for me 😀
I like Swiss - That's why I bought Dill's Dude look like a Lady last year
❤️🥰😊🤗🐐🐐
I hope not to miss too much because I want to see the babies being born soon😊
I love the Silver, Cou Blanc, Cou Clair, Chamois. All your girls are beautiful. I just recently gotten these girls, my husband came home with them trying to surprise me…oh he surprised me alright he knows NOTHING about goats and I am learning myself from you and a few other top goat owners but he knew I wanted goats and he meant well but he was lied to by the owner and not having a clue what to look for I am in a bad situation and feel STUCK!!! They were very skinny and unhealthy and still trying to get to the bottom of all their health issues…NOT EXACTLY WHAT I MEANT WHEN I SAID I WANTED GOATS!!! He got me deep into stress instead of enjoyment and not having anyone to mentor and ask questions to get answers its very frustrating!!! The only local vet we have, lets just say I seem like a professional on the side of his help!!! Facebook is only other beginners trying to ask questions just as I am so that’s no help so yea my first rodeo with having goats feels like a circus!!! Thanks for all your information you put into your content it helps people like me get a bit more answers!! God Bless You And All You Do BCDG
Haha! Welcome to the world of goats!
@@BlueCactusDairyGoats 😂🤣😂🤣
my favorite coat pattern is probably moonshots
I'm not sure if this is possible but one day I hope to see a chocolate Swiss goat
There are chocolate Swiss Nigerians. They're really neat looking too!
