I just walked into my local Target and grabbed one. They had like 10 of them. Maybe I got lucky? These don't seem as hard to get as some of the other versions in the past.
Yeah I noticed they weren't so tough to get. Best Buy, Target, and Amazon never listed it as "out of stock" or "unavailable," while Zelda edition pro controller became unavailable within minutes.
They all just get stocked at once. My whole area code got them stocked today over 12 stores
Yeah, this is nintendo switch's last Hurray until the next console comes out next year. so they massed produced this edition trying to clear stock, make as much money they can this year, so that everyone can have this special edition switch to enjoy breath of the wild 2. So, since this edition is available in abundance, I'll be buying a secondary one for the shelf.

I pre-ordered from Best Buy and I fell in love with it the moment I opened the box! This is my first special edition Switch and I couldn't be more happy with it! I've never had an OLED and the hand held is worth it for me plus the dock just looks so slick!
Was able to preorder one as soon as they went live to buy!

It was raining around me when I picked it up at GameStop. Since they didn't give me a bag I had to cover it in my sweatshirt and use an umbrella to protect the box. Lmao 😅
Welcome back! I’m Canadian too but I had no problems pre-ordering this system. I got mine ordered from Best Buy Canada and I literally just got a notification that Canada Post delivered it as I’m typing this. Checking the site yesterday, Best Buy still had preorders up so weird you said you were having issues trying to find a preorder. I also have the collector’s edition preordered at GameStop & the Pro Controller also coming from Best Buy! I’m so hyped for this game that I’ve been replaying BOTW to get even more excited for it! Can’t wait until May 12!

Great to see your back, and doing well! I do think it’s weird though how they released a special edition console for a game, and it doesn’t even come with it.
It is a bit weird I agree. However they have done this for all their consoles almost so while I expected it, it still sucks a bit.
Only one special edition has come with the game. It’s cool because that way you can buy the game however you want and you don’t have to worry. I got mine for $50 using the vouchers. 👀

I was able to preorder the game, which comes with a special collectors zelda coin, I also got the pro controller before it went out of stock nationally. same with the amiibo. surprisingly, there are still many special edition consoles still widely available for preorder in all sotres, in my country! I subscribed, keep it up! :]
It's great to see you, well, your hands lol. Looks like this edition was ready last July just by the software. I think they produced a ton of these. I pre ordered easily from Target. I waited for an Oled system, hoping a Zelda edition would be made.

Just got mine in the mail! Availability for the oled model has been quite good here in the UK.. Preordering the collectors edition though was very stressful

Happy to see you back and super glad your leg’s getting better. I got mine a few hours ago and have been playing Link’s Awakening ever since. I really like the screen and stand compared to my Mario red and blue switch. I’m currently a very happy girl.

I got mine earlier today, didn’t have much trouble, I preordered it a few days after it was announced at GameStop, the guy said they had plenty available and I bet only being able to preorder it in store at GameStop helped availability
My pre order at Best Buy is still not ready lol. So glad I was proactive and went to target on the morning of launch day anyway. Now I have mine. 😊

The pre order was pretty easy for me at Target. It shipped out yesterday so I am still waiting to get it this weekend. I also got the matching satisfye grip and am so excited for both of them to get here.

Did your OLED Zelda switch come in pretty crinkled plastic as well as with a dinged up box? The corners are torn near the opening of the box on mine and I came to the internet to look for others experience...it doesn't really matter because the switch looks okay, haven't turned it on yet 😅 I just like to keep the boxes nice 🥺....looks like this CZcamsrs switch has crinkly plastic so think I'm paranoid lol

These are easily available here in the states. I wish I could pick one up but I got the plain white OLED switch along with my day 1 switch and they both work just fine still so I can’t justify getting a third. Gorgeous system though. Got two special editions (only need/want one) of the game preordered just in case one fails. I put so many hours into the game so I just watched the cut scenes on CZcams to get me caught up again of the story.

I preordered one because I have the extended warranty on my switch OLED. So it won’t cost anything to swap them out. I’m wondering if it’s really worth it because there’s nothing wrong with my switch except for a little left joycon wobble.
Dude honestly I loved BotW it was my most hours in a game until ACNH but I have NOOO idea what was going on with the story lol nor have I seen all the cut scenes. I’m def going to go look up the cutscenes thank you for that idea
Hey Lithium, glad to see that you’re making unboxing videos again after having that unfortunate accident, I hope you’re doing alright. I’m keeping my expectations of Tears of the Kingdom to a minimum so that it’ll be either a fantastic surprise when I play it, or not, I’ve felt that if they were to do a sequel to BOTW they’d have to make it far superior in every way. It does looks like it will be a step up above BOTW after seeing the trailers and the several delays that were needed to polish it, but I want it to be mind blowing for me when I actually get to play it, thus why I’ve avoided the hype for the game.

He had an accident involving his leg and had surgery done, so he wasn’t able to go up and down the stairs since his collection is located down there and that’s where he does every video, so it’s the reason why he’s been unable to do any videos for so long.

Are you getting the mario red edition oled. I got it, its pretty cool. The switch itself is half black and red and the dock has hidden coins and small mario icon
I'm so happy I got the Skyward sword Joycons because although I always love thr Zelda Gold stuff, they almost ALWAYS do Gold and it's nice to have a change in pace every now and then. And I still like the vibrant Hylain Shield and Master sword colored Joycons a little more, but now that I can have both aw it's so awesome. While the Gold joycon still look better with the Gold dock, the Skyward Sword ones look cool with it as well
I had no problem getting a preorder in for this, I just had to do it in store at my local gamestops. I was not able to get the special edition game though.
I've been playing through BotW again for the first time in a while. I can't wait to play Tears of the Kingdom.

These are literally everywhere. I’m stores and still available to buy online and today is launch day.
I didn’t pre-order mine because all of the pre-orders I could find would only deliver on may 1st, even though it released April 28th. I instead got up early on release morning and did an in-store pickup order at my local target, which had 4 in stock when I ordered it.

Looks like you might have forgotten the joy con straps, if anyone cares enough lol. Just in case everyone else needs to know, they are white with black buttons and the straps are gold. but otherwise, great video!

i was able to get the console with great ease here in the states.i personally think the dock should have been black anf gold like the wii u.i am hoping to get the collectors edition and pro control at a midnight release at my local shamestop
Zelda TotK is going to slay my wallet. I got the OLED. I pre-ordered the amiibo, the collector's edition of the game at Best Buy with the free art card. I pre-ordered it at GameStop for the free wood art, and at Walmart for the free gold wall banner. I'll be giving my friends and family Zelda for their birthday.

for the record, though, my leg surgery was because my left leg was growing quicker then the right.

Only thing about the dock is if they didn't fix it scratching your switch like the old one you are gonna need a cloth covering it again

i got a quick question i'm gonna buy this switch because my other switch is getting really old and i'm scared the joycons are gonna drift if they do what can i do?
You can return the joycons directly to Nintendo and they repair them, or simply buy new joycons
@@NintendoCollecting sadly i live in the uk and they don't do it over here, and if i take them to nintendo they will give me gray ones instead of the totk joycons
You could try to get the totk pro controller if you want a totk them.

Cool story, I tore my meniscus and partial ACL, and I got depressed not being able to move or do what I normally do, GF bought me a switch and BotW and the game literally saved my mental health and rekindled my love for Zelda yet again, if it wasn't for Zelda my knee would have been alot more depressing 4 months to recovery.
