Japanese school lunch is an experience on its own, being able to explore local food on weekdays on a budget, a win if you ask me.
Rice as a staple has taken me a while to get used to and luckily it's not always plain, old rice. Always with milk and sometimes dessert. We had graduation so we had a special Japanese bento box.
