2023 Queensland sidecar titles

Brodie Cohen and Josh Murray win the 2023 Queensland speedway sidecar title held at Pioneer Park speedway. Beautiful north Queensland hosted a star-studded list of sidecar racers for this year's running of the state title.
Last year's 2022 Queensland champions Tyler Moon and Adam Lovell are not only favourites but hometown heroes, but luck just wasn't on their side this time. Having mechanical issues and bouts of wrong place wrong time on track, this year's title defence only resulted in a fourth in the final.
Third place sa13 team Trent Headland and April Cottrell were the surprise package of the night, former 2017 Australian champion Trent Headland turned up ready to win. Looking fit and healthy off the bike but on track was classic Headland of previous seasons. New pairing saw April Cottrell on the back and rising to the challenge. The smile on her face throughout the entire meeting was visible even with helmet on.
Second place went to Brisbane boys q50 Stuart Danks Firth and Jason Martin who struggled early on with over fuelling issues.
However, in the closing stages of the meeting saw the team find incredible race pace. This has now directly seeded the team into the 2024 Australian speedway sidecar titles in Tamworth Nsw.
Q64 Team Brodie Cohen and Josh Murray had a strong display of dominance over the 2023 Queensland sidecar title field. Changing bikes early in practice gave the boys the right tools to get this job done.
Excellent job by the team and also directly seeds them into the 2024 Australian speedway sidecar title.
Once again without the continued support from the pole line proud partners this wouldn't be possible.
