Mantis Mundi | 1000 Piece Art & Fable Jigsaw Puzzle Time Lapse

I have been so excited to work on this puzzle since I first saw it. This was actually the puzzle I stumbled upon that introduced me to the Art & Fable puzzle brand and why I now sell it in my shop. I'll be honest; as excited as I was, I was also a little intimidated. I can't really pinpoint exactly what it was, but I honestly thought it was going to be on the harder side. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was a blast to put together. There was only one section that was on the more challenging side - the fireflies - and I suspected that from the beginning. That's why I left them for the end!
Overall, I was so satisfied putting this puzzle together. There are so many elements, but they all had distinct enough colors and features that you generally would know approximately where each piece would belong. I love the Art & Fable 'Velvet-Touch' Surface. It does give the pieces a soft, velvety feel, and my favorite part is that there isn't really a glare from overhead lighting. I'm embarrassed by how long it took me to realize that the false fit on the top of on my edge. That's probably my only critique about A&F puzzles - there can be false fits. When they happen though, they are usually easy to find once you realize what's happened.
