I would have left the rocks clean (I mean underwater, above is ok), and use that amazing vine, with little leafs like stars, underwater to spread between an over rocks, but not too much...

I had a similar tragedy , ( I have a very docile Green Terror cichlid ) and he lived peacefully with my rainbows for months then one morning I came out to feed and they were all gone…
This is probably my favorite tank you’ve done since the accidental black water. I was sad to see it go but this is a great replacement. Sorry about your rainbows though that’s really tough

Love lava rock. So much surface space and it’s easy to stack. Can get some really good deals too buying bags meant for grills n fire pits. Lovely scape.

This is an awesome tank :😀 Loving the layout and fish choice. I didn`t realise so many different "house plants" can be used with their feet in water and heaads above, it looks great and has given me something to think about. I am doing a restart on my quite large tank within the next couple of months.

I’ve just invested in a bottle of API Leaf Zone for my crypts. Only used it once and they’ve perked up a lot already! Love it! 🍃
Works very well for all plants. Don't get me wrong. My plants grow without...but they are infinitely better looking and fuller with leaf zone in the water.

Ive seen tanks crack from just a little pebble..Dont dump it in kids and never pile up rockstructures on the bottom of the tank, it can hold the weight but its the sharp edges that can crack the glass. We used a sheet of styrofoam back in the days.

it looks amazing. I'm really into houseplant and have +150 varieties in my home and I assure you that you can put almost all house plant's roots in aquarium. I have tried it with numerous houseplants. if someone wants a colorful plant, different varieties of Aglaonema work well. also Anthurium (Flamingo Anthurium which has red and pink flowers) and Alocasias look very nice sitting in aquarium too. Scindapsus has different shades of green(silvery green) and can hang and wine to the sides of aquarium.

I absolutely LOVE my loaches! I'd love to see you do a build for golden dojos. Mine love to bury their heads in the sand and blow it out of their gills...so cute 😍
Mine really mess with my plants...always uprooting them. Love this build and gives me new ideas for my new 85 gallon. My loaches will be getting an upgrade! I keep golden dojo, hillstream, dojo and the red tail sand loaches you have in this tank.
Been watching for a while now, have used a few of your techniques in a couple of my new builds. I'm very happy with the results!
