  • Apple introduced Copy Subject or Cutouts with iOS/iPadOS 16. These work really slick for making a watermark for your iMovie videos. You can do this on a Mac too, but it's actually easier on an iPad or iPhone.

    Been trying to figure out how to do this, and have been trying other third party apps that confuse the helm out of me and I would have to do all my editing in one, then sent the whole thing to another app… total pain.

      You can export a single frame of a video and do the same thing. If you want to remove the background of an entire video clip, you have to use Final Cut Pro.
