    I'm the fan of Jordan but do you know why?
    1.the way he treat
    2.because I'm Iranian and he won all his Iranian opponents. This reason is actually the main reason.
    Hope the best for him he is a real worrier.

    Definately top 5. Have to go with John Smith, though. Smith had a larger repertoire. He lost to a Russian only once! That is incredible. Watch his 1989 World Championship bout and his battering of Beloglazov, one of the greatest Russian wrestlers. For now, I'd put Burroughs at number 3 behind Smith and Baumgartner. And in the top 20 freestyler of all time internationally.

      @kevinobrien5293 Před 3 lety

      Also, somehow, I found every one of his 1991 World Championship matches on CZcams. Five years after his stunning Goodwill Games gold medal, he was simply perfect ... a master technician and an animal as well in 1991. The following year he began to slip a bit; John Fisher began to figure him out. His two losses to his Cuban nemesis were a fluke and a bad night. With the exception of Randy Lewis, he dominated wrestlers who beat him in revenge matches. I think he would have won more titles, maybe not consecutively, perhaps, but at least one more if he'd been born a Russian! In my opinion, he is number 2 all time, behind Satiev, of course.

He just forfeited his position on the world team. I think he has the skills, and his Olympic win was impressive. But to be the greatest he'll have to walk the same path as those before him. He's going to chase money instead.

    Maybe Burroughs could sell his gold medal to Kyle Dake? Dake was a 4X NCAA champion and got teched 11-0 in the quarters in the Tokyo Olympics. Burroughs brought home the GOLD when he made his debut!!!! After a decade of kicking Dake's @$$ Burrough got soft on him. Dake is a great wrestler - he will just never be on a Jordan Burroughs' level!!!!

      Dan Gable had only two gold medals but remains in the top five all time. I ask other wrestlers what they think, both young and old. Is the number of medals the only criteria? I think Brandon Slay is a top ten wrestler not only because he beat the greatest wrestler of all time but also because he was tactically sound.
