- In episode 122 of CARS, SHOPS & COLLECTIONS we visit Keith Saunders the owner of Swing Shift Auto to see his 1990 Chevy K5 Blazer. Keith’s Blazer is practically all original! PLUS, Keith has a wicked surprise for us at the end of the episode!
This will be Keith’s third appearance on CARS, SHOPS & COLLECTIONS and every time we visit Keith he leaves us speechless with the cars he has to offer. Sitting inside Keith’s Blazer is like stepping back to 1990, the interior is impeccable and the only modification on the inside was to replace the radio with modern amenities. Not to worry, Keith still has the original AC DELCO RADIO.
Keith’s 1990 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is finished in GM Mojave Beige with a Sunset Gold Metallic side stripe featuring Saddle Tan Interior!
We get a bumper-to-bumper breakdown of this Blazer and Keith takes on a ride along. And before we say goodbye to Keith he has a little surprise for us in his garage…. Spoiler - It’s a 1968 Pontiac GTO!

Fun fact, that's not actually a K5 blazer. Starting in 1988 when they introduced the GMT400 (OBS) truck platform. They still made the square body trucks in Blazer, Suburban, and Crew Cab 2500/3500. Those were designated V for 4wd, 10 would be half ton! Dude and he said it right as I was typing it!!!!

So what is the difference between a K5 and the V10? Same fenders as other square bodies. Same drivetrain and body on frame.

I had an all white ‘91 that I bought new. I loved that truck so much. I was forced to sell it to pay some bills, otherwise I’d still be driving it today. Great to see one in such beautiful condition still driving around. 👍
