I always come back to listen to this album, which I consider a masterpiece lost in time. I wonder how many adventures we would have lived.

I don't know how good or bad Ultima X would've been, but either way I'm glad this soundtrack survived.

I wonder what new "Age" this game would have been titled into. It'd been the start of the fourth one.

I remember hearing that the Guardian and the Avatar after ascending at the end of Ultima 9 wrte still fighting for control or something like that and the entire game is I'm the mind of the Avatar and the Guardian. This world wouldnt have bern Britannia.

Thanks for the info. I'd like to see a fixing of the end of U7's Serpent's Isle, as well as redos of U8 and 9, but of course that'll never happen. :(

@@RodConvoy1987 just like Saban bought Power Rangers back from Disney years ago. My son and I wish Richard Garriet would by at least the rights to Ultima back and redo all of the Ultimas in 3D. Similar to WOW or something simular. A super very detailed world. Bigger than ever before.

@@SchardtCinematic So why didn't this game happen?

@@RodConvoy1987 As far as I know EA canceled it. They totally ruined origin Systems when they bought it. Origin was based out of Austin or Houstan Texas. Cant remember. When EA bought Irigin they wanted to relocate everyone to California. The programming staff basically all said no. They've lived in Texas most of thier lives probably. So I understand why they didnt want to move. EA has a bad habit of also rushing games out the door with bugs in them too that usually means they need to make a patch for it to make it playable. Ultima 9 shipped out like that. Ultima 9s world map was greatly shrunk down and a lot of the plot and story was removed as well. That's why the final Ultima failed the fans with a lack luster ending. Ultimately (no pun intended) EA simply canceled it.

Where these songs later used in other EA games?
They seem to have alternate names in the area where flagged.

EA canceled all Ultima projects when Ultima Online became profitable.
    the games they canceled are:
    1. Ultima IX: Ascension.
this game was canceled. EA wasn't interested in a single-player game anymore and they wanted all attention on Ultima Online. however, Richard Garriott fought back and so the game was indeed released. the difficult production cycle and the state of the game's release are related to EA breathing down Garriott's neck. It's just like talking him into releasing Ultima VIII in the state that game was in, something Garriott calls the biggest mistake of his career. EA also took programmers away from Garriott's UIX team to work on UO. for Lord British, UIX was the conclusion of the third trilogy and he couldn't drop it, he started the series when he was 19, how do you walk away from that? that the game exists. that the series even has an ending is thank's to him. otherwise, the series would have ended with the Guardian conquering Britannia.
    2. Ultima Worlds Online: Origin (aka Ultima Online 2)
This game was canceled because EA didn't want to see the original UO lose subscribers which was still making money for them.
    3. Ultima X: Odyssey.
This game would be the continuation of the series, but without Lord British himself, he had left EA and Origin at this stage. The reason for the cancelation was the same: Ultima Online.
it would seem the biggest threat Lord British and his Avatar would ever face was a company worried about false profits (heh...heh...heh)
