These young musicians are great!!!! I played in stage band my high school years, and loved every minute if it.... and miss it really. I'm 73 and still love this type of music.....

jazz is almost always done from memory
I think even pro big big bands typically have charts out, so I thought that was admirable that they were playing their parts from memory.

The female signing "Rocks in my Bed" is the best performer from Garfield High School.

I lost track of all the Essentially Ellington performances during COVID etc. Looking forward to the middle of May for a new season 2024.
