SUM41 - the most metal punk band that exists. The riffs speak for themselves.
Not surprising either. They often talked about their love of Heavy Metal.
Maiden and Priest were the gods that they praised.

To be fair, that motorbreath rhythm is very punk and iron maiden-ish itself. But the bitter end is a metallica tribute song

Great job , Sum 41 are VERY underrated in musicianship
I don't care what anyone says, In Too Deep is one of best written songs on guitar ever created.
It basically conveys 5+ genre styles in one song and is musical masterpiece.
Honestly, just the opening riff is pretty amazing, the way it meshes the two parts together. I didn't even realize it was two guitars playing until a long time after I first heard it.
It's such a fun song to listen to aswell
The best use of any song in any TV show is still that scene at the driving school from Malcolm in the Middle where Reese is stealing the driving school car and kidnapping his coed out of spite, then realises his mistake and ultimately ends up just nailing the driving school course, then parks the car perfectly, gets out and says to that girl: "When you tell this story, tell them I grabbed your boobs.", and then gets bodyslammed by a bunch of police men...all while In too deep is playing.
And it's just perfect.
Those were the days , I limewired so many episodes of that show

Thank you so much for not showing Sum 41 as a pop punk band only because of their first album (second? if we count Half Hour of Power as one) which is what most youtubers seems to do. I really hope they'll have the recognition as a heavy rock/metal band they deserve in the future et get rid of that pop punk image most people still seems to have.

I'd like to tell you, and to your subscribers, about one good russian rock band Lumen, these guys are not full time metal band, but they do have a metal side, songs like "C4", "02 Благовещенск ", "fuck off" (:D), "не простил", etc.
Check them if you want. Especially live, they sound so much better live.

These guys may not be the most Metal or the Most Punk, but they may be the best at blending these two genres.
I was at their last Atlanta Show, and most of the crowd were punks, but we had a lot of Metalheads there too. Plus The Interrupters were such great openers

Their two most recent albums - 13 Voices and Order In Decline - have some of their best and most 'metal inspired' riffs, why didn't you include them in the video? I'd have included Goddamn I'm Dead Again, Fake My Own Death, A Death In The Family and 45 (A Matter of Time), at least.
@Shane I guess you haven't listened to the blood in my eyes or screaming bloody murders riffs because those are the best sum41 riffs. Don't get me wrong I grew up on all killer no filler and chuck those album's slap but the screaming bloody murder album has the best riffs by far.
