    👓About This Video: In this video, Dr. Vijay Shenai, an eye doctor, explains that using glasses will not make your vision worse and that glasses may not be the answer to clearer vision. There may be many things that can make vision worse like Genetics, Environment, Systemic Conditions, and Age that could be affecting vision. If we rule out these as the root cause of the blurry vision, then we can look into using glasses to improve vision. Remember glasses are a tool to get the job done. Only use the tool if it helps you get the job done. Optometrists and Ophthalmologists are the professionals that can make sure you are using the right tool when it comes to your eyes.

      Sudden vision changes could be caused by many different issues, some simple and some more complex, but either way, if I was going through what you described, I would contact my primary doctor to make them aware and see what they recommend in case it's a systemic issue. And I would get my eyes checked to see if it's a vision issue. Let me know what you find out.

    I don’t understand the sun exposure thing bc whenever I’m in the sun more I see better. I use to go to the beach every week for a couple hours and I’d take my glasses off and it was still a little blurry but I could see farther than before

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare

      Being outside will cause your pupils to constrict which will give you a greater depth of focus, kind of like a pinhole effect, but damage can still be done in and on the eyes from the sun. Keep those sunglasses on!!

    Yes,
    I have been told, that the normal eye goes down, when I start wearing a strong minus lens.
    I look for a better answer, when I am still at 20/50.

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare
      @TrueFocusEyeCare  Před 2 lety +1

      That's not how that works, but I can undestand how it can be percieved as that. Too much minus power or too little plus power can cause headaches and strain. But if I go in the other direction of too little minus or too much plus, it will just cause blurry vision. Either way, glasses are a tool to get the job done, so if you can get the job done at 20/50, then you don't need the extra tool.

I love watching things at theaters, but i can never do that because of those 2 things. I also cant see the whiteboard from the back of the classroom. • @TrueFocusEyeCare

      Could be vision or maybe allergies or dry eyes. Both can make your vision blurry, but it is usually temporary. I would get a second opinion to know for sure.

    for the past week or so I've been having trouble reading/ seeing things less than two feet in front of me.
    i went in for an eye exam and when she had me pick lenses she said I kept picking the ones with no prescription after a bit of hesitation. i bought +1 reading glasses on amazon and they seem to be helping me with the blurriness/ focusing issue, however they make things far away blurry so i cant see it as a long term fix. I'm going back in a few days with my mom since they're gonna dilate my pupils, since she said something about my muscles in my eyes working to try and focus, leading to the headaches I've been getting

      It could also be a convergence issue (where your eye muscles are having a hard time keeping your vision stable when looking up close). I would recommend finding an eye doctor near you who provides NeuroLenses. It's worth looking into. Hope this helps!

      It all depends on your eyes and needs. If you notice that you are having issues with seeing what you need to during your daily routine, then I recommend that you get your eyes checked by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.

      Of course! Many of us see children as young as 6 months old. Then it's recommended to be checked again at 3 years old then before 1st grade. After that, one eye exam a year or every other year depending on the health.

      Sounds like you are going through a lot with your eyes. I recommend eye exams for all ages whether or not they need glasses. This is to make sure the eyes are healthy and performing it's best in any type of enviroment. Glasses may or may not be the answer, but an eye exam would be very helpful in determining what is causing these issues.
