Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Bars
Ingredients:
• 1box (15.25 oz) Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Cake Mix French Vanilla
• 1/2cup (1 stick) butter, melted
• 3eggs
• 8ounces cream cheese
• 1pound bag (about 3-3/4 cups) powdered sugar
• 1teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
• Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 9x9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix together the cake mix, melted butter and 1 egg until a soft dough forms. Press into the bottom of the baking dish.
Mix together the cream cheese, 2 eggs, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Spread over the cake mix layer.
• Bake bars for 45 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and the center has set to a soft consistency.
Cool COMPLETELY before slicing into bars and serving.

Yummy Yummy, I love this cake bars. You can make so many different flavors. I love how thick yours are. Mine are usually to thin cause I use a 9*13 pan. Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend.

If you spray oil on your hand or the spatula it will spread easier and not stick to the batter. It has definitely helped me to spread batter easier.

In St. Louis, we call this Gooey Butter Cake. It's a St. Louis specialty, except we top it with a little sifted powdered sugar. YUM!! You two are the cutest! I love how you're both building each other up and complementing each other. Great team!!

When u held it up for the camera it shows a very thick crust on the bottom. Yummie. Looks better than a lot of Theo their video/recipes posted. I’d prefer the thicker crust💔 great job. I agree with your husband. They look so good!

The parchment paper was the problem it happened to me so I just pulled the paper out and use gloves it won’t stick to your fingers I don’t like my fingers in food either. Don’t be nervous you’re doing awesome especially with your mellow tone voice it was relaxing and I couldn’t wait to see finished results

Greasing or spraying your pan will keep the parchment paper from moving, then you can spread the batter more easily.

The batter would not make it into the oven. I love cake batter even though they say not to eat it. I love to eat what is left on spoon or beaters and in bowl. I also like cookie batter lol. I live in South Carolina and alot of my friends like batter too. I don't know...is it just a southern thing? Kinda like a tall glass of sweet ice tea lol?😁

Honey what kind of cake mix vanilla, yellow cake mix,white cake mix.
