I mean, we kinda see traces of this with Dagan Gera in Jedi Survivor. He’s been locked in stasis and forced to live in a simulation for several thousand years, though it seems that by that point he figured out how to manipulate the outside world somewhat. It’s not a direct 1:1, since there wasn’t any direct pressure to repent, but it’s still a similarity I noticed

A hidden temple, away from the Empire? You'd think Yoda would've utilized this. Or that one guy from Jedi Survivor who found (Tanalor?) And the Council didn't bother using it as a backup Temple place to hide if $hit hit the fan.

I dont think it would be a good idea for Yoda to hide there, it was a place for healing, not somewhere you want to trouble those recovering with the problems outside the temple, especially if they are in any danger of falling.
Cal simply wouldn't have a way to know about it unless they discovered some old reference to it, but if he did find them, I'd wager he would make a similar decision to leave them be like with the force sensitive holocron i.

They wouldn't have been able to hide there. A bunch of highly recognizable force signatures in the same area is a great way to lose any hiding spot. Pretty basic and common starwars logic. Thats one of the reasons Yoda stayed on Dagoba. Was to hide his force signature through the dark side nexus within the cave on the planet.

Hey I thought I'd comment this here to see if you think this idea has any merit.
I think that one of the reasons that Anakin was so powerful in the light side of the force, was also because of his emotions. When he leans into his fear and anger it's obviously the dark side, but when he's thinking of the people hes helping and his loved ones (when they're not the ones in danger) he's actually leaning more into the light. His love for his mother and wife gave him the ability to look into the future for warnings, but he did not respond to them properly (not saying I know what the proper way would be). We know that Luke Skywalker had a wife and found that if the light emotions are used to fuel the power, then their abilities in the light side of the force will be greater.
This is a random thought from my brain that I turned into a comment. Hope it's not completely idiotic.
    Thanks for reading :)

Interestingly male Cerean Jedi were given special privileges when it came to families as the male to female ratio was very low the species as a whole had far more females than males and due to this male cereans we're allowed to marry and have several wives and children. I am sure a few other species also had similar societal obligations within their species and had special privileges within the order. So no reason other Jedi should be banned from having families either

My theory is that Palpatine sent him visions of Padme in pain. He let him see his mother suffer. He threw it up to him about killing the sand people so he knew what he did. • @techfu582
      @techfu582 Před 10 měsíci +9

I'm sure they noticed, but what about it? It was probably a natural occurrence for Jedi to be dispatched on covert operations for weeks, months, or even years at a time. Plus, when a Jedi is showing signs of waning towards the Dark side, their peers likely notice it to some degree too and are aware that it's something that needs to be handled by their seniors. I'd imagine they're not all privy to how they go about that "cleansing/alignment" process.
As for letting them out to help fight during Order 66? That was a surprise attack. This Temple was hidden and isolated for the benefit of those Jedi who were falling towards the Dark side. The Light side was at its weakest during Order 66. Releasing people who are tempted by the Dark side to go and engage in that situation would've exacerbated the demise of the Jedi. They'd either have been killed by clones or corrupted by Darth Sidious and brought over to the Dark side as pawns. However, there was no situation in which these struggling Jedi needing rehabilitation were going to be able to stop Sidious, Vader, and the clones.

@@techfu582 I said after Order 66. Yea I agree about Order 66. But I should have clarified that I meant once the rebellion was underway. @@HumanitarianTeam I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. When you said "after Order 66" I thought of the period right after Sidious executed the plan and so I took "after" a little too literally. lol
I still question how reliable the Jedi in stasis would've been, but I too wondered about the three Jedi stationed there. I imagine they were very powerful (but probably no match for Vader). It was said in the video they abandoned the temple, but then what? It really seems like they threw up the deuces, found a peaceful planet to live on, and lived the rest of their lives in hiding.
Vader spent a while hunting down the surviving Jedi, but because the Temple was hidden, I imagine the existence of those three Jedi was also hidden. So without knowledge of them, all Vader would have to go by would be his connection with the Force somehow leading him to them. But they spent all that time hidden on that rehab planet, so I'd imagine they're quite good at evading being detected using the Force. I really think they just abandoned everyone and everything.

Its purpose was to be completed isolated so that the Jedi there could realign with the Light side of the Force undisturbed. By making the existence of that Temple well known, it would’ve inevitably led to its demise sooner due to conflict eventually making its way there. Disney: We need a reason to explain all these Order 66 survivors, and why we made a bacta soup with Dagan Gera. Yeah, we can really skew the dogma of the Republic age Jedi Council, but this is just stupid... and way too far.

You mixed up Daegen Lok (from the end of the Je'daii era) and Dagan Gera (of Jedi Survivor). Also, to be fair, with people as powerful as Jedi, containing the rogue ones is a necessity. We see how much havoc they can cause if they fall. And that kind of approach did more or less work on Revan.

I understand it's abandoned during Order 66 and hidden. But they just left them there. It's terrible. i don't agree with this. At all. May the Force be with you too, always 😊

If one goes into the books (especially) an some of the games if one really digs an some vague references in the shows an alot of the movies.. there's ACTUALLY quite a few things the Jedi did an had secretly. An that was just an ass thing to do NOT leading with this temple. HOWEVER it was pretty seriously a Sith thing to do Force "brainwashing" an imprisonment... Basically, one of the Dark inner secrets of this sect an one of many things not apparently sanctioned or Force Approved. Beginning question just HOW MANY There REALLY was an what was capable of as well as numbers of secret branches an sites like THIS. One wouldn't think they could be dropped into oblivion THAT easy then. Maybe at worst crippled by someone like Sideous an things like 66.

A society secret or not WILL have secrets of its own. It would seem some more investigation is warranted into why mind rearranging is totally acceptable to the Jedi, and yet we NEVER hear talk about " imposing your WILL upon another is forbidden"? Shouldn't invading another's mind be considered a dark power from the start? Makes a little more sense why they wave their hands around like a traffic cop on overtime. 😅😂
