Native Instruments has removed Absynth 5 from their catalogue of products included in Complete 14, in fact it is not even available for sale at www.native-instruments.com/.
IF you are someone that had NI Complete 12 or earlier and never installed Absynth 5, there is still a chance to acquire a license for this final version of this incredible musical masterpiece.
There is no guarantee but I have first hand reports this has worked for some of our customers. I hope if you qualify, that this works for you.

Contemporary business models make piracy seem not only inevitable but often the only possible choice.
Then just do without and move on. To suggest piracy becomes an accepted option because you can no longer obtain legitimately? I don't buy it (excuse the pun). A discounted 'relaunch' sub-brand ... e.g. 'NI Classics' could really generate some new business ... with a $9.99 price tag these would fly out the door ... and purchasing 3rd party patches would still be both relevant and attractive for all.

But if someone is only using it "at home", as a pure hobby, just for leisure, no problem. As long as nothing gets published, of course.
@@TheMicrofox - I don't agree with you're perspective.. of course. I have many customers that have never released a single song that are loyal wonderful customers. My take is everybody does it when they are young and as they get older they "grow up" and want to only use things they OWN. No, just because you use it at home isn't a green light to steal. If you steal you, you have not grown up yet.
They should just sell it for $10 like they did FM8 or just give it away!
I am new to Unify. I've tried it with the Demo option for months, and finally made up my mind because it's great.
Luckily for me, 2 months ago I bought my A49 with a hardware + software deal that included Komplete 13, and Absynth5 is there.
Absynth is an instrument with so many capabilities for the user to create their own instruments that I find it truly absurd that NI removes it. Simply starting from any sound in your library, you go to the MUTATE option and you can find something really creative.

Love Absynth
I’ve owned NI Komplete for many years now. There’s a world of capability there, and the company has always been good for me. So they’ve run into some difficulties with this one app, and we can work our way around it if necessary. Of course, people will use the circumstances to wrap themselves in victimhood, even making excuses for why software should just be stolen which, instead, compromises the whole market that brings them these great apps to begin with.
I purchased Komplete 9 Ultimate, which included Absynth 5. I had the complete K9U installed on my old DAW, but when I dumped the desktop for a laptop (moving U.S. to France), I only installed the parts of K9U that I was using regularly. AB5 wasn't on that list. Now that you've updated your AB5 patches for Unify, and since NI removed AB5 from their product line, I figured I better install it before it disappears completely. Installing the latest (5.3.4) now via Native Access. Thanks for reminding me what a great synth AB5 was and is. Your AB5 pack is next! 👍
This is great news to hear, John! I was a little hesitant to post this but I want to make sure everybody gets to enjoy this one of a kind synth before it goes totally away!
Absynth is my favourite synth ever. It created in me so much emotion and happiness, it made me see a different version of the world I'm currently in! For anybody that love sounds related a lot to Nature, Dark, Mystical, New Age, Rainy, Landscape and Around the World, Absynth is the perfect software for that! Brian I owe you everything, you are the best and NI made a huge mistake removing Absynth from their product line I hope they know that!!
I know when i seen producers that inspired me to produce they had this plugin. I love them mysterious sounds but I might never be able to get a hold of it :/ . you just made the synth sound even better to have.

crowd-fund to buy the rights to Absynth for Brian so he's not reinventing the wheel ? build up a big enough pot and an offer can me made that NI would be stupid to pass up ?
Hi John! I had Absynth 5 on my old Mac from back in the day…..but now I have a new Mac and I see N I doesn’t have Absynth anymore. I would love to have it. Are you saying buying the powerpack will give me Absynth 5? If so is there a website I need to go on to buy it. I’m new to all of the software stuff but absolutely love Absynth and would love to have it again. Thank you !
I still use it regularly. It was also one of the first VSTs with a randomise (mutate) button 😀
I still use it as the bed to my ambient tracks. It sounds fantastic and the presets cover just about everything I need. All it needs is a GUI programmer to lay a new interface over the existing functionality and it would be up there with the best softsynths.
Hey, so I really want to try Absynth 5, but I never had any version of NI complete.. Is there any other way than cracking it? (because ive tried that and cant figure it out😅)
NI is just following the modern trend of bigger companies treating customers with a measure of contempt, sometimes as an outright enemy. It's too bad.
If I purchase Komplete 13 or 12 NOW from one of their retailers, do you think tech support would allow me to activate Absynth 5 ?
It's sad for me. I love the sounds Absynth is so good at and other synths can't really get, or, at least, not in that same way that I love And it's sad that new people won't be able to buy a license, even if it wasn't being updated. It really did need updating, especially for Mac users. From a business point of view, I understand it and I'm not upset at anyone, corporate or otherwise. Fortunately, as a PC user, I probably have years left to use Absynth but I'm sad that it has been dealt its death blow.
Does anyone know if Absynth will remain downloadable/installable for licenced users moving forward? If not, is there a stand alone install available for when I replace my computer in the future? I own K5 - K12 Ultimate.
Not sure but I assume it will remain but not work with some future Mac OS. That’s usually where these products with no support end up.
How do I get it working if I have it on Native Access?
So I seem to have bought Absynth as a stand alone, because its my all time favorite. I do not own Komplete. Will any of this effect me besides future OS problems?

i have a license for Absynth 5. i can't find the install file for Absynth 5 on my computer but i have Native Access and my serial number... does anyone know what i should do when i upgrade my computer?
hmmm, i don't have this 'legacy products' switch in my native access..... Or is it just because i have an older native access? /my native access looks different than the one in the video at 5:23 ...) Anyway I have komplete12 and I see Absynth in Native Access.
I'm using Native Access version 2.5.0 - it's possible that this is a new addition. Software is always changing so if you have an older version, I expect it would possibly look different, but I'm really glad Absynth is there. 😀

You should install native access v2. For some reason v1 didn’t automatically upgrade itself…
This morning I found out that I cannot buy My favorite synth. I Need It. I Need to buy a licence
Gone from NI, just like B4, Electrik Pianos, Pro53, KORE. Maschine and kin are poor spinoffs from and do not make up for what Kore was. Thankfully Unify does what Kore did, plus so very much more. Thanks Skippy and Shane!
Also long gone are Spectral Delay and Vokator. Last seen in Komplete 4 or 5.
And it was many years of pleading to utterly unresponsive NI before Reaktor got an update.
Kontakt 5 was up on the .8x? version before K6 came along. Now they're bringing out K7 already!
Hardware wise they are little better, deleting B4 controller, Kore Kontrol 1&2, Maschine Jam, probably more.
Know I sound like I'm bellyaching, but the cost to buy into NI's club has been pretty high over the years.
I've quit buying into it. Would rather support Plugin Guru (and other developers).

Now I'm really worried about Reaktor!! If they kill Reaktor, it's verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry bad... No updates whatsoever....
I just used their support mechanism to ask for M1/VST3 support and the experience is TERRIBLE. Why do they make it so hard? Not very impressed with NI right now.
So many people who have never had or used Absynth are suddenly whining that it’s not available. Kinda funny. Then they try to make NI the enemy even though NI is doing lots of really cool new things. My first midi keyboard was a NI keyboard, and my first (useable) soft synths were all NI as a result. I think they’re a great company. I just signed up for three months of Komplete Plus as part of a promo, and picked up Lofi Dreams for free and FM8 for $10. Running into issues with a single, clearly very old product (which I never intended to get anyway even though I had the chance on several occasions) seems like not a big deal.
Do not trust the promises of Native Instruments that you get Absynth as an old User after Upgrade. The 14 contains so much useless sounds and Synths that you loose with An Upgrade…
I don't think you understood what I said, Daniela. It's clear users of Komplete 14 can not get Absynth 5, it was not listed. This video is to help people with Komplet 13 or earlier. They CAN still gain access to Absynth 5, I have a number of customers who have done so, which is why I decided to create and release this video to help others that owned Komplete 10 - 13 and never installed Absynth 5. They can (and should) get it either thru Direct Access or contacting Native Instruments. Komplete 14 has some incredible sounds and if they are useless to you, that is your opinion. It still is a very good value for many.

Auf der anderen Seite hat Daniela Recht, gegen das Verhalten von Native Instruments zu protestieren und Stimmung zu machen. Das Management und Business Modell empfinden wir wie Heuschrecken, die im Schwarm in ein Gebiet einfallen und wenn es nichts mehr zu holen gibt, zieht man weiter. Nur nebenbei. Wir haben einige Versionen von Komplete. Und es funktioniert sogar die 32 Bit Version von Kontakt. Grundsätzlich ist das Paket Komplete 14 für das was es bietet zu teuer im Upgrade. Warum sollte ich Upgraden? Etwa für Knifonium? 500.-€ kostet das Upgrade. Wir haben 5 Lizenzen von Knifonium. Die haben wir im Direktvertrieb so günstig erstanden dass das Update von Komplete 14 schon als Wucher bezeichnet werden kann.
Ich kann nur sagen im Moment wird NI kartellrechtlich überprüft. Und wenn der Mitarbeiter.
By the way: Nach 4 Jahren Pause ist die Seite Tocan.de diese Woche wieder Online gegangen. In 114 Sprachen. Ich denke wir machen uns einmal an die Übersetzung des Unify Manuals. Wir suchen weiterhin Leute, die helfen wollen ein Übersetzungsteam zu koordinieren. In den letzten 3 Wochen gab es im Livestream Dienstags nicht nur Unify Schulung sondern auch strukturelle Projektplanung.
@@DanielaTocan - there are numerous new libraries added including a massive choir library that sounds pretty incredible. New version of Kontakt 7 which I expect soon new sample libraries will require to operate because they've added some very nice capabilities to the engine. It might not be enough for you to see the value of upgrading but I assure you, it's worth the upgrade for many. Just unfortunate the upgrade doesn't include Absynth 5. THAT is the tragedy.
