But I'm pretty sure somebody will rise up to the challenge of walking in Niko's footsteps somehow, but seeing how things are turning out for them it does lok like you'll have to wait quite a while before having a chance to see them live.
finns are obviously not supposed to handle some good death metal like this. All respect to Amoral. (early works, ofcourse). no, well, actually they are still heavy. even with a new singer. but the new album is something that i already heard in some bands if you know what i mean. and when decrowning was released, many reviews said that it was 'a future of death metal'. nothing will replace those 3 albums. back then i couldn't compare amoral with any band because of that unique tech/prog/melo death sound they had, or whatever you wanna call it. that's the whole point.
I agree on the Laiho bit, but if you want to hear some truly good Finnish shredding, check out a band called Fist in Fetus (myspace or otherwise), or the clips of AmbitusFIN in youtube (FiF's guitarist). Even Laiho said he can't compete with that guy.

Kerranki suomalaisetkin on älynneet että kunnon Trash metalli on se tie mitä pitää kulkea. Diablo aikaisemmin ainut tien näyttäjä ja ehkä mokoma sitte suomen kielellä. Mutta tässäkin on vielä liikaa tota CoB typpistä kissan tappo vigutusta tosin se on osattu saada kohtuullisen hyvin biisiin kuuluvaksi. Mutta tää on kyllä mahtavaa mättöä.

Not that awesome. Semitechnical lets-glue-random-patterns-together music, like the rest of the song. Not a world class solo especially in melodic sense, but neither the shredding chops sense. I mean it's alright but Finland alone has tons of better guitarists who aren't even in a band
