I always felt deep down he was just better. Than I heard Bart Scott’s comments and all former players and the insane stories. The defensive coordinators going to the offenses on install day and telling the offense what they needed to do to help THEM stop Peyton lol. You can’t get more respect than that. You better have long drives, run the damn ball, and take time off the clock, or we aren’t gonna win. Also said playing Peyton manning would have every organization shook up, their walks around the building were different. This man truly scared people.
Baiting the defense at the line of scrimmage and letting them think they figured it out, than change what the word meant and smoked them downfield. This dude….

    • @polumathes9729

@@erikpuka2627 no way. Brady has never had an impressive arm (his tendency to “dink and dunk” is literally a meme at this point), and Manning’s decision making has always been amongst his best and most uniquely Manning traits. Further, Manning was the epitome of consistency, having 30 TD seasons and 4,000 yard seasons nearly every year before it was just normal to do that. He had every record in the book upon retirement after 18 years (one of which he threw exactly zero passes) whereas Brady took 20-23 years to take the same records. Manning had nobodies to throw to (Dallas Clark? Joseph Addai? Austin Collie? Even Marvin Harrison was a sub-1,000 yard receiver before Manning) and his only good coach was Dungy for 5 years, whereas Brady has played with the greatest receiver of all time (Moss), the greatest TE of all time (Gronk), the greatest coach of all time (Bill), the greatest slot receiver of all time (Welker), another AP coach of the year (Arians) and of course plenty of other all stars like Mike Evans, Julian Edelman, Chris Godwin, Leonard Fournette, Kevin Faulk and etc. He’s had a consistently better defense, a more consistent coaching staff, a weaker division both with NE & TB, more consistent special teams play, and still has never put up the same single season numbers or even the same career numbers in a comparable amount of games played.
Brady has only 2 real arguments in his favor; more rings, which is a team accomplishment, not an individual one, and a longer career, which is definitely impressive but not enough to surpass Manning, especially when considering the era he plays in makes it a personal foul to sneeze at the quarterback aggressively. Brady, honestly, is the most overrated athlete in all of sports. With the way Mahomes is projecting, he may not even be number 2.

@Camaro Guy ppl always bring up those interceptions. Which is fair. I will also ask you who was on that team besides Marvin Harrison only in his 2nd year. A washed up Oline, and a coach in Jim Mora who only won 13 more games than he loss over his career. He wasn't good at all. A rookie Manning was still very good in his own right. Also I said ERAS of the game. Not necessarily decades. 98-04, 04-10, 10-15.
