I've used this explanation for various things over the years. For example my PMDD. Every month seven days before my period I feel a shift in my psyche. Then I get.... Something. Either manic, depressed, paranoid, or whatever. I explained it to my husband with this clip and said basically every emotion tries to get through at once and which ever one gets through that's what I feel for that week. It really helped him understand why one month I could sleep for a week and be depressed and next month I don't sleep at all and rearrange the whole house.
