You got the job done using the materials you had available and you got around not having the ideal tools. Looks good. Things don't always have to be made using classical techniques. As a retired life-long woodworker, I have one piece of advice. Be proud of yourself... 👍

That's a nice project, I like the saw marks left in the wood. I've harvested lumber from some of my old farm buildings, and it can be rewarding but difficult. Cutting through nails ends up being a reality because the rust holds many of them in place.
I wonder if it's time to purposely bring the barn down in a controlled way, it looks more frightening all the time. But that would also probably end the lumber harvesting. It's too bad you didn't arrive on the scene when saving the barn was still possible...I'm still fighting that fight on mine.
BTW, the amount of time lapse was just right, no need for apologies on that.

The nails can be very stubborn. I want to take it down but when I do I also would like to salvage everything I can at the same time. Right now the roof is still preserving the wood. I also wish I would have been able to save it.

I will be working with what I have for the time being. Welding while wearing sandals will keep you on your toes.

I actually enjoyed the time lapses. I like the shelves. I was wondering if you put anything on the bottom of the metal legs, like welding a cover over the opening, or perhaps a rubber cover or any type of leveler? I hope that the issues going on in your life are not that serious and that it all works out for you. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to the next one.

I didn't end up doing anything to the bottom of the legs. I did consider adding height adjusters but it sits on carpet and they aren't necessary. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for sharing your projects with us. I started watching because of the accord 2.0 mods. Do you still have the newer 4Runner? I’ve since switched to an X5 diesel. I appreciate your patience with the process- even remembering a scuff coat before paint. You’ve amassed serious skills and it shows. Thanks for sharing.

We decided to get rid of all vehicle payments so we sold the 4runner. Thanks
