Some parts of the video were very emotional. I guess this year was very tough for "Budgie Nation" ❤ as 4 members of your flock passed away. Aww... 2021 sure was a bad year! I remember when Biscuit hatched. You inspired me to breed my own budgies and now it went from 6 budgies to 15! Rest in peace Cookie, Biscuit, Jack, and Jill.
I believe 2021 was obviously was not the best year, especially with covid, but I wouldn’t consider it bad! Yes, Cookie, Biscuit, Jill, and Jack have passed, but in Native American traditions ( and many others.) ( I am Native) their spirit lives on. I’m happy that you’ve breaded you own budgies! That’s amazing! Have a great year!

All of these deaths we so heartbreaking 💔because I know how much Alan spends time training and understanding these birds. If anything, he is a role-model bird owner and we should recognize the amount of effort and time he gives into owning them, not as birds but as family.

Thank you for being here. My family learned so much from your videos. I will buy budgie and cockatiel for my mum and little sister and I will get for me a macaw in the early summer 2022, cuz we will live in house then and they will have a room for them. My plan is to get them when they are 2 months old, because that will be easier to make them be friends. And sorry for your loss, it’s really hard to see that they aren’t with you anymore I know that really well, but I know for sure that your budgies were living happy and really good life. To take care of something that is not like you it’s really hard, because they can’t tell if they are in pain or they are sick and etc, so sometimes we make our best and they don’t survive for that long that we expect to, but this doesn’t mean that we were not taking good care of them. I wish your other budgies to live really long and happy life with you. Happy early new year to you too!

Wishing you a healthy and safe new year. Thankyou for all your good advice, and my little budgie is learning a great deal. Since I have been playing him these video, in the last two days , he has started to chatter more, and seems happier xx He was a aviary bird in a pet store, and not that used tobeinghandled etc. So for a few months of gentle work, he is chatting, whistling and liking more to be out of his cage. I just have to get him eating fresh food, but I am very grateful for these amazing videos', thankyou from Debbie (and little Geoffrey) South Australia xx

I lost 3 in 6 months ago..it was rough,,, one had a freak accident in his cage..one was very old (12) and one got gout and I guess died of kidney failure...the oldest one I had had since he was 2 weeks old.. he couldn`t fly anymore but would crawl on my shoulder and sit or sleep for hours.... it hit me hard as bad as a family member..I cried for weeks...
now have another budgie and a lovebird......the lovebird is a blast...

I also have 4 budgies but one died before my birthday 😭😭😭

So sorry for your loss of bird friends. How do they get parasites? I have a 2 year old cockateil and want to prevent this or know what to look for. Thank You, love your videos.
Parasites can often get to your bird by hitchhiking on contaminated food or materials. It's important to check new food (especially seed and pellets) for holes, a lot of crumbs at the bottom, and tiny worms inside.

My one budgie was rolling over, it looked like it was getting fits, or epilepsy. Was getting weeker, could not see or fly, was just sitting there, could it have been age, or a decease unknown. I seperated it, was still eating, but decided to end it's life rather this morning as it looked like it was in pain, feet all cramped up. What it the world went wrong. It was very upsetting

I have 2 white budgies and I named them cookie and biscuit the male is biscuit and the female is cookie as a tribute because you helped me with my budgies by the way I didn't know cookie very well and I didn't knew biscuit at all but I was sad so yeah
I once accidentally let me bird drink hot water but thought it was cold. Gave them cold water right after and they were fine
I actually have a puppy and three birds and I tried one of my cocktaiel on my dog and neither of them cared about each other. But I am aware so I would only put my bird when I am under supervision
My budgies don't like fruits, I gave them apple, oranges and mangoes but they don't even touch it

I think cookie died because he was already sick because of oldness (u could see on his body he wasnt looking good)
He probably got exhausted and probably stressed and i think this made him die so fast..
