A little tip for the scarlet rot lake: you can use the "Flame, Cleanse Me!" incantation, which alleviates or cures both scarlet rot and poison and resets buildup
I tried that and tbh it’s just easier to get a ton of crimson flasks and haul ass to the other side
can also just farm the rot boluses that clear it

By the way jack Blaidd is stuck in the Hound Evergaol in Stormhill, but releasing him will force you to kill him later, as he is the puppet of the two fingers given to ranni as a servant. Yet since the stars are no longer held by Radahn and Rannis fate is back in motion, the two fingers make him turn against Ranni. As Blacksmith Iji states, his will has no word on the matter.

I didn’t visit Blaidd in the jail, and I still found him hostile at Three Sisters. I don’t think it matters if you let him out or not. This was after completing Ranni’s quest.

1:31:20 You don't actually have to get into a bunch of different coffins just to get to the second half of Ainsel River. Once you've given Ranni the Fingerslayer Blade and reload the area then Renna's Tower will let you through and there's a teleporter at the top that sends you straight there

Pretty much the same thing happened to me, he came over to me at the start of the fight, then did some sort of animation where he sank into the floor. I was waiting for him to reappear somewhere and after 12 seconds he just died. So I never saw him really do anything and had no idea how the fight was supposed to go until now.

One might start thinking that doing CZcams and having your personal life starts to become your work life is better than a 9 to 5 sitting at a computer saying "press button and press button again"
I love the lore in this game because you have to get dissolved into the relm of the world to know it. Hearing Sean talk about it made me think of a game idea with this sortta story. You wake up character remembers nothing. Note says go to a library in a nearby town the headmaster scribe will help you understand, and your head is a big weak spot never go without a helmet or mask. The old scribe will tell you about the note writer being a man so evil and foul and monstrous that the whole known world has shunned him and fear him. you go on a quest to find many more notes learning about the man and what he dose and how he explains himself. you meet some heros on the way and even get a rival friend and eventually you get to the Notorious note mans home. In his great hall you expect to find him but you find only a note on the throne "If you are reading this, forgetful hero, sit and wait and answers will come. I am not here now so feel free to pillage and loot my store rooms and armories." You can do puzzles and mini quests in the Noter's house to find over powered weaponry and armor, an armor set without a helmet. If people paid any attention to the wake up sequence at the start theyd notice a helmet not part of the first set of armor that matches this new one. If you collect this gear and sit on the throne to wait it will say days passes and then the hero you had a friendly rivalry with will burst in and start attacking you immediately. After you kill him blood will fill a little bowl in the floor and a mirror and a painting will appear on the wall and you look in it, take a helmet off and realize your face is the same on the painting. a note in the corner of the mirror says "I wanted a new life, but clearly losing my memory did not change how awful of a man i am if you are reading this." of course you could always chose not to put on a helmet ever and show your face causing you to find out earlier your the antagonist or you could chose to eep your armor on and a helmet on and the hero will come in and ask if you killed the antagonist already, where you can say yes or he said to wait here for him but never came.

Jack one of the best things I've realized with my bpeed build is if you can count your hits do just up to the right before you knock them out of the stun then do the repost hit it does amazing damage
Yeah I usually try but sometimes the window is tight. Especially with dual wield animations, they go on a bit longer

I get the feeling that Jack really doesn't pay much attention to incantations and items in this game. It's a shame too, since most Elden Ring Incantations are actually really good and faith builds are a lot of fun to use.
Yeah he says 2 seconds later that raising immunity doesn't stop scarlet rot. And he mentions the horns.
Also he is right there is nothing that stops scarlet from even building up, the boluses reset your build up but don't stop it from happening

@@rafaelc.8306 nothing STOPS it from happening, they just slow it down. Using cured meats and stuff don’t get rid of it once you already have it, either, they just raise various immunities so that it takes longer to get it. In my experience, the cured meats and stuff aren’t really worth it. It’s better to use incants to get rid of it.

The way I beat Rykard's skull barrage was to turn off camera lock and just run for my life. The skulls would fade away just before touching me and I would end up far out of range of his giant sword slam at the end.

40:00 also another couple of interesting facts about the albinaurics is that they are man-made creatures and have 2 different ‘versions’ the first being the one seen at the timestamp, and in the village of the albinaurics as well. They tend to have weak legs which is why they are mostly seen being immobile and frail. The second version, and enhanced, are the fish dudes you see in liurnia of the lakes. These are much more flexible and do cartwheels during combat as well. It’s not quite clear who specifically created them, only that Gideon caused the village to become the way that it is, a ghost town.
Also the reason that they’re in volcano manor is because Rykard (and possibly the godskin noble) are doing experiments on them. Also albinaurics have strong connections to the eternal cities and the carian family.
Malenia tried to protect them iirc also Lattena is a Albinauric and she looks different

I may not feel as passionate about the lore as many of you, but I cannot deny the art style of this game. Everything here is such a treat to look at and I love it.

The trick with Rykard is you stay as close as possible to him, lava doesn't do much damage and it's much much easier to dodge his attacks

In case anybody didn't know, there are actually 2 ways to enter Deeproot Depths, 1st is clearly the one seen during this vid but the 2nd entrance is located behind a illusion wall at the very bottom of Leyndell, where you recive the Three Fingers

There was something so beautiful about seeing the start of the fight with the Regal Ancestral Spirit as is. I’ve never played a Fromsoft game but I’ve loved watching all of these videos, and Jack showing us what it’s like without commentary over the top really made me feel the appeal of these games. I think the most appreciative thing in Jack's playthroughs is the ability to convey the experience and the feel of a game to an audience, in such a respectful way for the artistry of making a game/experience might I add, even in this case of a game he already played (multiple times). And that purity (accompanied by a not so pure witty comment) is what makes the playthroughs special.

Pro tip for boss fights: I use Skeletal Militiamen to reduce aggro + when they die they come back (so long as boss doesn’t attack their re-healing bodies) keeping the aggro going
