This is a video of how I fit glass into a 1984 HJ47 Landcruiser. I am using new genuine Toyota rubbers which are a bit harder to fit then good used rubbers.
Awesome as per your usual standard Simon. Your tips are invaluable mate. I’m attacking hub seals and wheel bearings and few other steering components early in the morning on my 84 HJ 47 so I can keep her on the road. Will be my first major work, so hope I can channel your skill and calm during the process. Lol cheers mate.
@@toyopatrestorations1588 cheers Simon. Yeah I’ve got the manual and got it done with a mate’s help as I’m very much the novice. Turned out all good thanks mate. In much need of a full nuts and bolts, but gotta wait to build a decent shed and get sorted with some space. 👍🤝
@@trevorday7979 You can buy lots of suitable nuts and bolts from most good bolt shops or online as well. I don't but kits I just get the ones that I need.
got to do this soon on potential buy, thanks for making it look so easy! does the cord come in the rubbers or did you put it in to help with the install?
Nice work mate, spot one, having the rubbers warm and soft, makes all the difference. Bathurst winters are NOT a good time to install glass rubbers😂
Great job! Thanks.
You made that look easy, some good tips, thanks

Thanks Trevor for your kind words. A workshop manual is a good investment if you haven't already got one. I refer to them all the time. Simon.

I don't use cord I use a thick wire the window will not go in without using a wire or a cord.
