The Springfield may be virtual, but the regret is real.
I used to play this a lot as a kid. It's obviously dated, but at the time, the quality of Simpsons games were so universally bad that this felt like a breath of fresh air.
And now we're at the stage where I'll happily take some bad SImpsons games...anything new would be nice to see!
My Granddad had a copy of this in his Computer Room that me and my brother would always play when we went round his place! Still have fond memories of it....
I hope the way my groggy morning voice slowly changes back to normal across the length of the video is proof enough I wasted a lot of my Sunday doing this.
You didn't take the joy out of playing the game. It was bad game design. They should've put cards in different places, instead of having to revisit the same locations to get more.
Also, if you put that website into the wayback machine there's pretty-much nothing on the page, so you didn't really miss out.

This game seems fun but all the cards make it a bit repetitive
Yeah I wish there was a bit more to them, maybe more puzzles to find them or actually searching through all the interactive elements in each scene :/
@Muckluck it'd be so much more fun if there were puzzles or something for them and would make this game more unique. I'm surprised they didn't do that tbh

I'm copying a comment I left a month ago for someone who asked the same question on my old video playing this game - hopefully it helps!
I've just spent some time recently getting this set up on my computer again (running Windows 10). I tried using Virtual Box to emulate Windows 98 but it didn't work so I used an emulator called PCem instead. I followed this tutorial on CZcams (not including the Voodoo graphics stuff, so basically just the first ~30 mins) - czcams.com/video/WDKWHVebaHY/video.html
