@@dannibble I'm leaning more towards they want to lighten the situation by showing 'gentle' pictures for a lack of a better word. Several times people have been killed by cops after violent encounters and they show pictures of them singing in the church choir but on their social media they play with guns and look like they want to set the world on fire. But when the Aurora, Colorado shooting happened they only used that one picture of him looking fish eyed. They wouldn't stop showing Elliot Rodger laughing maniacally. Media does this all the time to try to control your perception of the person.

Interesting. Father called local police after the assassination atempt but before the shooter's name was revealed. In the beginning of the report it says parents said they had no knowledge of their son planning the assasination. Was there a note they found?
NBC is reporting that the dad noticed the gun was missing and his son was gone, and that’s why he called. But still, why would he suspect his son? I (quite vocally) despise Trump, but if there was a shooting at his rally an hour from me, neither of my parents would ever think I’d done it. Kinda weird.

Here's my question.. How did the blue truck get back at the kid's house? Wouldn't authorities have impounded the vehicle? In addition, reporting elsewhere indicates he purchased a five foot ladder that morning along with ammunition. He had to have transported the ladder to the building. Did someone else drive him there??? That's what I am wondering. Not saying that's what happened but it does pique my curiosity.
