    The word " got" is not a case of Past Participle here in this sentence because we do use the Past Participles in all the perfect tenses and the sentence here is " if we got the approval for the project " It's a sentence of Simple past tense which starts with the word " if ".

    hi teacher I have a question , when we use in the main clause would the verb will be on past participle ? because I notice sometimes when you said would have been or would have passed but other sentences said would" get " which is present simple

    When teaching English to German students we use these mnemonics: "if + will = overkill" and "if + would = Satz kaputt" (Satz kaputt = sentence destroyed). Hope this helps!

    Hi. I think you made a mistake about using the past participle instead of simple past in the if clause.i mean u said ws must use past participle while its not true we have to use simple past verb in if clause about imaginary situation in present
