- As a large family, we've tried several different methods of chores/allowance with our 5 kids through the years and have FINALLY found a kids chore system that works for our big family! We call it KINDNESS COINS because it both rewards our kids for chores, teaches money management, and...also rewards them for acts of kindness. This has led to a less chaotic, more organized + peaceful home and has really helped our large family management routine. We are the Ashbays, a big family of 7! We grew from 4 to 7 overnight when we brought home our spontaneous triplets! Life has been a crazy ride ever since but we wouldn't change a thing.

I am so grateful for this video! As a foster parent who works with siblings groups ranging from ages 8-13yrs old this system has ALWAYS WORKED! Kids love to earn money but most importantly, they love structure. & When being rewarded for doing these things, chores, & being kind it just creates a more calmer environment & a healthier communication between the kids. That's talented. Holding the camera steady and aimed at Jojo while holding her steady at the same time. Thanks for sharing your system. We're looking at something like that for our grandkids who live with us. I especially appreciate the 10% requirements and teaching them how to spend well. I'm still praying for you to get pregnant. I recommend you not focus on it too much but instead focus on enjoying each other sexually and letting it happen. Trust God. He's faithful.

We're looking to start some sort of chore and reward system for our 6 year old. Thanks for sharing how you do things! Just to clarify, do they just get one check mark per day for doing all of their chores? And then additional checkmarks throughout the day as you see kindness and good behavior demonstrated?
Glad this was helpful!! They get a check mark for their expected chores and a check mark for their special assigned chore and then throughout the day for acts of kindness, obeying without whining, or doing something helpful without being asked, etc…
