Photographer Awarded $1M From Newlyweds Who Bashed Business Online

  • Wedding photos could ultimately cost a Texas couple more than a million dollars. The big price tag is because newlyweds Neely and Andrew Moldovan bad-mouthed their wedding photographer online. Photographer Andrea Polito was shocked by the reaction, because things had started out smoothly in the weeks before the wedding. "We had a conversation, she loved everything and sent in the contract the next day," Polito told Inside Edition. #InsideEdition

100 to 200 dollars? You should hang around with a wedding photographer to see what they have to deal with.. There is travel to the location, the time on site, the investment in the equipment and experience to gather, learning to pose weddings which is an art in itself, and that does not include the time spent editing hundreds to thousands of photos depending on what was ordered. That's not everything, but that's enough.

@DankMemer V2 75-100 wedding a year, the price for that wedding photo is $125, 125x75-100 = $9.325-$12.500/year to 0/year, that alone is already hurt, I mean imagine your shop went from making a decent amount of money to non because of one event. Next her studio have to shut down, now imagine your workplace get taken down like imagine your office catch on fire or something. Lastly the couple spread bad name about her, imagine your friend says bad thing about you in your back. Now let see your bussiness is bankrupt, your workplace is gone and people know you as the bad guy and if you call that fake crying then I don't know what your heart is made of, next the $1Mil., Yes $1M is a lot of money, but she can't climb to 75-100 wedding per year instantly after getting that money, she can't get her studio back instantly, and she can't instantly clean her bad tittle instantly and the worst thing is she probably lost interest in photography after this incident.

An average professional wedding photographer will charge between 2502-3336+ so if she charged anywhere in that range, 75 weddings a year would've made her from 187,650 - 250,200 And 100 weddings a year 250,200 - 333,600. There seems to be a lot of confusion in the comments section about what happened. This couple went out of their way to publicly humiliate and destroy this photographers business/reputation by putting out false information. The money awarded from the lawsuit is for defamation of character meaning they went out of their way to spread lies about her and the business ultimately leading to it closing. The reason behind it? They were just trying to get publicity for their blog. The couple had signed a contract with the photographer and agreed to the prices and process of her services. THEY KNEW that they'd have to pay $100+ for an album cover but suddenly refused to and started calling news stations and spreading the word on social media that the photographer was holding these photos "hostage" when in fact both of them had been exchanging emails and court documents show that the couple was saying they would agreed to the $100+ and couldn't wait to pick out their album covers etc. The photographer couldn't just hand over the final prints when they didn't pay for them; that's common sense.

To to be clear, the million was not for the photos, it was for destroying the photographer's livelihood. That's why there is a law against defamation. For her to win it, the accusations would have to be untrue and the dollar value awarded would be related to the damage the photographer suffered. It seem's to me that this vindictive couple got what they well deserved. Kinda off topic but kinda in the theme. A few years ago, my mom was hired to make a wedding cake for a couple. The agreed upon price was around $400 or so. Before she started, she needed a deposit of at least a quarter of the final price and they would pay the rest after the wedding. They payed the deposit and the cake looked amazing. As I'm sure you can assume, they kept avoiding my mom after the wedding and even agreed to meet at public places where they would never show up to. Eventually my mom stopped pursuing the payment for personal reasons. Long story short, a few weeks later, the couple was thrown in jail for being caught red handed trying to rob a laundromat😂 Karma's a bitch😂
