Never thought I’d say this, but I absolutely love royal republic. Great band in their own right, great performers and yup…. They absolutely nailed both! His voice is incredible
I love that the singer uses a bunch of different guitars. I’ve seen him play the 335, a Strat and now a LP. I’m glad Tele dude stays loyal though lol, gotta love a Telecaster.

@@JE-western-rider I have a black on black MIM Tele which I’ve converted with EMG actives, but I’ll be honest, my favourite 2 in my collection is a Squire butterscotch Tele which I’ve put US Fender pickups into, and my DG335 in Pelham blue I built, (I’m a lefty so they don’t exist, and I don’t have $50k for a guitar anyway) and I’m also building a Flying V, more so because I love the way they look, I’ve never even held one, and I’m also doing 2 custom Telecasters, one with twin P90’s from a Jag and a Nashville Tele, which I’ve modified almost every part on. So I’m really a Tele guy, but I love my DG335.
I saw them live at Bråvalla Festival in 2013. It was my first experience with them, I didn't know them, which bothered me after I saw them, because they were so awesome and I couldn't sing along haha

It's all rock'n'roll in the end. I love metal, too, but as a musician AND music lover I would always prefer to go MOR or classic rock in the first place. From there you can have whatever variation you want to go for. Just head off into all kinds of neighbouring styles... metal, punk, alternative, indie, blues, or why not throw in some jazz or electronic stuff? Music styles are not religions. You can follow more than one at a time. 😉
Its a shame these guys never had a metal side project. I feel the metal world has missed out on something great.
Not everything good has to be metal - just be generous and let other genres have their great ones too ;-)

The transition between Maiden and Metallica is sick. Royal Republic does great metal covers. They need to make an album similar to Garage, Inc.

I think Maiden has been playing it every concert for about 20 years. Kind of a mediocre album but it does have a few top notch tunes on it.
