- In this video I show how the 17" X33 wheels off a 2005 350Z fit on my 1986 300 ZX Turbo Z31.
Original wheel / tire specs:
16 x 7 wheels
114.3 (4.5") bolt pattern
66.1 hub diameter
20mm offset
225 / 50 / 16 Tires (front and rear)
New Z33 wheel set-up;
114.3 bolt pattern
66.1 hub diameter
Front
17 x 7.5
30mm offset
225/45/17
Rear
17 x 8
33mm offset
235/45/17
20mm hub-centric spacers front and rear

Yah, I feel pretty stupid. The ‘88 NA my daughter bought came with a set of Z33 wheels. I installed 225/45/17 tires all around. I thought they looked a little narrow, but 7.5” is supposed to be the sweet spot for that tire. I just discovered yesterday that the rear wheels are wider. What a lost opportunity 😢
They had garbage 3mm spacers on the fronts for the center caps. I installed 15mm spacers all around, and I’m really happy with the look.
Now to drive the tires off so I can justify getting a pair of 245s for the rears :)
