Sadly, not for many years. It used to be on BBC 2 in 2003, and us Yanks never heard of it until we saw it here on CZcams. Awesome series; I wish it had lasted longer and had a wider screening.
No. The skins look loosely based on the Armenian and Pontic units, but the Hittites are not a faction .The real puzzlement is why the Egyptian units in the game are from the New Kingdom rather than the Ptolemid's Macedonian-style army.
Sega/Creative Assembly, please put those Time Commanders exclusive factions and units into the game as well as the units from the other tv show that featured Rome Total War gameplay.
@englishfrenchgerman Yeah, it's a combination of the units from Pontus and Armenia and some new ones. I wish they had done more battles from this early period
I am lebanese-canaanite, I want to have this game, it looks cool, of course I would play the canaanites, maybe meggido :) no hittetes will win I have a turkish friend which descended from them he is cool I am for hittetes as well for the canaanites which are agains egypt(but i hav nothing agains egypt)!
Is it even possible to have a battle without strategy? If you don't have tactics, NOTHING happens. Because attacking/defending are tactics in themselves.
+Wall Mall Not to much at that time, and the Iron Working was not good enough to produce high quality product. In less then a century The Sea People most of which had blacksmiths with better skills, armed their armies with better quality iron weapons and that gave them advantage, so their invasion was the end of the Hittites.

Team seems organized and decently knowledgeable. Better than others I've seen.
What an awesome history teacher!
Oops! Historical mistake. Those scouts should be chariots, not horsemen. The Hittites and Egyptians didn't have cavalry yet.

Rome Total War came out in 2004, I think they may have stopped supporting it.
The Hittite Empire was the first true Great Power,in central Anatolia anyways.

rome total war.cool.
Never saw this program on Canadian television either.
those scouts look suspiciously like brutii equites ....
because in the game the time is roman era therefore the Egyptian faction is a Macedonian style military

@carthagertw yup i know that I played that game too
Even though Time Commanders aired first...
the battle of qadesh is one of the oldest recorded battles in the world. it has long been seen as the first real battle with tactics in it. 1274 b.c!
hmm why is the format a little different (in the beginning) ? and also why isn't richard hammond the host
@deathpunish2 hence the chariots, desert axemen, lack of hellenistic phallangites and hoplitae
Play Rome total Realism. It solves these mistakes.
Is it even possible to have a battle without strategy? If you don't have tactics, NOTHING happens. Because attacking/defending are tactics in themselves.
the battle of Qadesh was fought before the Macedonian conquered Egypt
Because this is the firat season. They changed things alittle in the second.
I don't think they change history that's a dpangerious thing
Lol :P this is my school :P
the hittites look like trojans from the battle of troy
didn't Hittites have iron?

lol this battle is sooooo long ago. it's 1274BC ! makedonian's invasion is about 337-336BC ~~ big gap.
@deathpunish2 They never conquered it. They were seen as liberators by the inhabitants against the Persian Empire.
@deathpunish2 Only by about 900 years or so. . . .
so qadesh is in syria?
yes
@professorhalloween just the wrong plan in the end.
is on t.v. or what?
