  • Meet the newest member of the TWE herd! I will be documenting the process of introducing clicker training/training with food to a horse who has been starved (and also a senior horse), plus the resocialization process, in-depth for my Academy members.

    She is such a sweet girl! I'm so glad she's in a safe place with you. One question, why does Candy and eventually, Suger, have to be separated from the rest of the herd?

      I keep my horses in groups of 2 to 4 based on social preferences, dietary needs, and training requirements. Candy used to wander the whole property without dietary restriction with my late gelding Cash. She is happiest that way and really thrived. However when Cash passed away it left her alone. She cannot (at least not easily) integrate into my other two herds for social and dietary reasons, so I decided to find one of the horses that would be ideal to integrate into her already current routine/life. That ended up being Cashmere actually. More on this later!

    Adele first off you are such a good person and you have the most beautiful skin! It's that healthy lifestyle. Can't wait to see her progress!

    Lovely horse! What is the pillow hay net? It looks weighted.

    • @TheWillingEquine
      @TheWillingEquine  Před 11 měsíci +1

      It’s not exactly weighted but has a canvas backing to stop the hay pieces from dropping through to the ground and keeps the dirt out of the hay. Excellent for sandy environments!

      I have seven personal horses so probably not for a long while, but I periodically take horses in for clients for training. :)
