Gonna try him in an old counter atk comp with Valk. Her shields can keep em alive til round 35 or so. All those extra attacks will proc that dmg increase even more often. Put ninja and geo in there as well. Cant wait to play with this guy. Got him to 60 but I've only got 8 books and havent done masteries.
How's your Valk? I was thinking the same comp, but the only incr. Def and block buff I have is Sepulchre...plus Corvis for buff extend and maybe geo?
For the 5th champ, go with Lady Mikage to extend buffs/debuffs and ally attack. Counterattack up 100%, decrease def up a lot more consistently too.
Loving all that people are able to do with him, however, I think stuff like counter attack sets, relentless, counter attack masteries, etc. are a bit of a trap. I think you really want to speed tune it to where you always land the 5th hit with the A2 (maybe alternating A2 and A3 in Hydra so it's always applied to an AOE) while also having all the needed buffs/debuffs. While it may sound hard, I think ally attack is the way to do this since with someone like Fahrakin you can consistently make it happen when intended. Ally attack allows you to artificially turn the 5 turn cd into a 4 turn, or even a 3 turn with a second ally attack without the RNG of counter attacks or extra turn procs. Would make it far more consistent as far as damage and I'd be willing to bet a lot that it results in significantly more overall damage despite less cycling of the passive.
I’m have a heart eater comp so the bonus damage from them at low health as well will make this even better.

Hopefully dark fae is on next doom tower rotation, lethal would be pretty good on him.. I have him in a merciless/cruel build but he's sitting at 156 speed so slow af lol.
I built Rathalos in a 6 piece Merciless set. Straight Fire.
i got him in 2piece Merciless, 2piece Killstroke and 2piece Divine Crit. 199 speed so far with more to add with glyphs, 100 CritAttk and 236 CritDmg so far. no masteries yet and a 1piece CritDmg ascension on Amulet so probably gonna get close to CritDmg when done. im looking forward to using him in Hydra for sure

I have gnut in my counter Ally attack cb team.. but his speed is too low to use in other areas.. I am going to use this dude in there

I run a myth-fu team with turvold. If u want i can give you my speeds
I'm going to put him in relentless and retaliation gear with Revenge artifacts. Since his main atk is considered a skill. This will help him get his passive nuke skill back up quickly since he's already going through shields and such. I wouldn't have to worry about Crual, Savage, and lethal.

I hit my first one key ever last night, 2x ME, Geo, Draco, Martyr.... just scraped in 70.86 Million damage.. I wonder if this guy in a toxic set could replace Draco..... I don't even have increase attack

If there is a comp with Emic, Maneater, Rathalos, Gnut (for Weaken, nukes, and the permanent defense down on his A3), who can bring both AoE attack up AND HP burns? Off the top of my head, the most reliable champion I can think of (that I have...sadly, I don't have Brogni) is Yoshi the Drunkard...though the turn meter increase on his passive probably has to be factored into the speed tune.
For epics, you have Jorrg (40% HP burn chance on the A1, not reliable) and Mordecai (4 turn CD on the A3 that brings the burn and attack up). Both bring an AoE TM boost that would also have to be factored into the speed tune.

Once again CCs are going to pump out videos showcasing crazy damage that 99% of players could never reach because they dont spend thousands of dollars on gear. Palarium is then going nerf champion based on the 1%.. Just like Cadavar just like Madman. I swear its like the CCs want to get champions nerfed

Similar xomp and zonogre did more dmg than rathalos with l600 less attack and 10% less crit dmg.
Should one try to avoid fully booking his A3? Because the AI will prio it and with the default cooldown his 5th skill will always be A3. Well, for wave content anyway, A2 hits harder on bosses obviously.

that lunging stab move is a move for LongSword in MonsterHunters. Rathalos is using a longsword OFC
Yeah prob. Reminded me of Yoshimitsu from Tekken who as well is using a loggsword
@SkratchPlays yoshimitsu used a katana, but there was a lunging dash move that i remember for sure. That stab is the start of the Longsword's power attack in Monster Hunters. MH is a game I play avidly.
And this is why the fusion is not that great this boy here is free and its so good.
Fusion has different use cases and she is good in clan boss too.

Technically it wasn't a nerf on gnut, It was a fix. He was lowering their defense by a higher value than stated in his skill and that was corrected.

They haven't nerfed any legendaries for years. And the last ones they did that to were Rotos and Siphi. They would rather nerf rare champions over legendary champions any day.

I don't think they will, but never know. I do agree with the guy though that instead of nerfing or balancing it seems like the plan is to just continue to power creep old champs so you keep going for the new shiny thing.

He's not great. Mine is doing 1/8 the damage of my Gnuts. 4500 atk 100% crit, 200 CD. Basically same stats as gnuts but not defense.
Im sad he is not good. Low dmg. Jintoro, michinaki and and on and on waaaay better for clan boss. Ok he is free but come on he is the best free champ as you said some days earlyer 😢
