This was a (expectedly) hilarious but (unexpectedly) endearing video! Loved the chefs softly guiding Mike to the answers in a way that encouraged him and reminded him that he does indeed know these skills and techniques.
That's the way I teach my own students, and I got the same excitement and happiness whenever Mike realized he was actually doing each step correctly. Fantastic job, Mike!

I loved the ending where James, Jamie and Ebbers were complementing and applauding Mike for his performance because he isn’t good at accepting appraisal so deflected everything away, but he’s really hard on himself and puts himself down frequently and won’t commend his own efforts so the team around him need to do more to raise him up from the hole he digs himself into

First the normals all sit around arguing and trying to instruct the chefs without being able to quote the book. Then when its done the chiefs switch places with the normals and talk them through what they should do to make that recipe.
Edit: i say arguing cause well, it seems like what would happen with them trying to decipher the recipe and figuring out how to best communicate it to the chefs.
