The fact that you find out someone tried to kill your daughter, be it through a hit man, or any means, is enough for some to take out their revenge on the person in the worst way, even if they called it off. For that person to be living under the same roof as you is worse. Not justifying letting someone die, but I can see why someone like Beauty would have reacted the way she did.
