It's fascinating to watch how you work - great help just by watching! Thank you so very much for sharing! What a wonderful dog - personality I don't like to yell and have found that my dog was listening better when I didn't - but hey that was my experience and learning path - she was also a more sensitive girl 🥰

Malinios are great intelligent dogs who can carry out loads of tasks. Make great armed forces dogs.
But they are too small and light to be a decent guard dog. Unfortunately I had to defend myself from one and it was far too easy to pick up and choke out. Unless they've got a run on you and can hit you hard they're not that dangerous.
Any big guy could deal with one quite easily even if it has sunk its teeth in. In fact even more so cause of the adrenaline rush you get.
You're best off with dogs like kangals, alabi's, came corso, English mastiff, XL American bullys, rottweilers etc.
Basically huge heavy man stoppers that can run through doors and who weigh as much as a smaller man and are more powerfull.

Not all lines of malinois are small, there are definitely a lot of dogs on a heavy side, which are liked among European breeders. And the reason they use shepherds in bite sports is because of their mind flexibility, which is natural to herders.

@@kishmishu also their insane bite force which is more than twice the force.💪
I'd prefer English mastiff, XXL American bully ,(which I have),or cane corso for a house guard dog due to them being as heavy but not as tall or long which is better for a house. Plus they're all good with kids.
The herding dogs are more for property guard dogs in my opinion.
I just think dogs under 40kg are better for working than guarding and taking big grown men down. I'm not saying they won't do a job. I just think there are better suited dogs for guarding your family.
Plus malinios are NOT good with children due to their high prey drive and the fact that people don't walk or stimulate them enough.
This is why they make great armed forces or police dogs, cause they're getting worked hard which is what they're bred for.

Lol, I would like to see you action defending yourself against a serious mal, or dutch. Also, nobody uses dogs like you mention, because they are just too hard to train, can't perform many tasks and are hard to sell. That is why you don't see them in sports and working spots. In fact, the dutch is a harder sell, because in some cases they can be difficult to train also. This makes the Mal and GSD the most suitable dog for companies training and selling dogs.

@@hardcorek9510 I already have . Read my posts.
I grabbed one and choked it out EASILY. It was lucky I didn't break its neck after it ran for my son.
Either that or my huge XXL American bully was gonna get let out and rip it to bits. A dog you obviously know nothing about cause they're easy to train. And make great house guard dogs.
Malinios are only used cause some videos of them climbing and jumping went viral.
In my guard dogs I want them to be able to fight and take big men down. Not fly or jump high.
And a little education for you. The giant shepherd breeds are used all over the world as guardians of other animals, and humans. And English mastiffs are used in Britain as guardians . ( As a dog "expert" I would've thought you'd know that). And good luck to anyone who tries to come into my home with a 145lbs XXL bully behind the door. ( Not the overweight lazy ones, but the 150lbs of muscle). Much more effective than you're skinny little malinios that a big man can EASILY overpower.
Only people with large properties use them eg footballers , UFC fighters and actors cause they are the new fad just like conservatories used to be. But now it's a gym membership and a malinios.
Another but of education for you. There has been talk in Britain about banning malinios because of their high prey drive and nipping kids all the time.
Yeah easy to train my ass. That's why most are either sold by, or taken to be trained by a professional.
And you mentioned a gsd. That's like saying my XXL is a staffy. Gsd are bigger , stronger and heavier than malinios. And much more effective guard dogs.
And as for the sports you mentioned. Guarding is NOT a sport . That's why you don't see some breeds I mentioned there.
      Dog expert my ass.

@johnw4237 All the chest puffing and tough guy stuff aside, there is no argument why large breeds are not used for work.
