Of all the recessed sensors, the 5818MNL is our favorite. The 5800MICRA, which is another magnetic recessed plunger switch, can sometimes be a bit finicky as its magnet is polarity conscience. The 5818MNL, however, is much more forgiving, and a bit more robust. Like all of Honeywell's wireless sensors, apart from being well made, it's very simple to program into Honeywell's wireless security systems. can I use it on aluminum door and frame???

The wireless sensor can get blocked by the aluminum frame. You would really have to try it to see if it worked. The other option is to wire a steel door recessed contact to a 5816 wireless sensor which sits on the wall away from the metal frame.
