    Trust is built over time, no one trusts a therapist right off, and sometimes it can take a long time. No therapist dumps a client because they don’t trust them.

    The brunette (Margaret) is 🔥. She's absolutely beautiful as a leading role. Considering she most likely doesn't have a lot of acting experience--her acting is not that bad. I enjoyed this and I like how it was longer than the normal 5 to 10 min shorts you usually see here on youtube. The film has a bigger meaning/message to it that most of you are missing--that other horror shorts lack. As a horror writer, I can respect this. Slow paced and no jumpscares. It's refreshing and different.

      @esmeraelillywing612 Před 5 lety +3

      With all due respect, I disagree but only to a point. I agree about taking measures, but not all people whom are "victims" are able to take those steps like carrying mace/weapon, choosing wisely where you go. Small children, for instance, cannot do those things, they are often put in a position to be hurt by the very ones they love (whether on purpose or not). Or people can be swept up in a horrific situation no matter how well prepared they think they are. It is possible to be hurt so badly when you are defenseless and we shouldn't say things like, "Well, you could have done A, B, or C differently and you wouldn't be in this place." We should never victim shame in that sense, you know. And of course, I DO hope that those people can find a way to get help to deal with their trauma in an effective way that would allow them to move past it and find peace and happiness.

      @esmeraelillywing612 Před 5 lety +1

      @@carlosidelone8064 Maybe. But I think the original OP is victim shaming in a way, not to be a snowflake here or anything. Sometimes, we get comfortable in our routines and bad things happen. It doesn't mean all the fault is on us. Or, like I said on another comment, what about people (small children, the elderly, etc) who can't take those precautions, whether it be mace, a taser, OR a gun? Are they then to blame if they are attacked? I don't think so. Lastly, I COMPLETELY feel it is smart to do things like pay attention to your surroundings, don't get in quiet, solitary places with strangers, learn how to defend yourself, but unfortunately, sometimes every single one of those things isn't enough. I can list a number of situations we get into everyday and are real and normal to us, and even part of a job/career we hold or part of a responsibility we have that can't be avoided to prove this. Do we tell the Real Estate Agent who is showing a house that it is her fault that she was cornered by a stranger in the home she is showing and raped? It is her job to talk to strangers! What about a clerk in a convenience store who is shot and killed in a robbery, even though he was trained and had a gun and was trying to defend himself? It just didn't work. You were right when you said it's sad we have to live among people who would take advantage of these situations, but we do. It sucks, but we should teach people from early childhood all we can to prevent, and then never shame the ones who still get hurt. Sorry for the ramble, hope I didn't come off as harsh.

    I agree with K W (in the comments below); I definitely felt like whomever wrote this script had almost certainly never been sexually assaulted themselves. This film would be much better (if redone) if the scene where she's talking to her therapist actually sounds true, because it came across as totally unrealistic. Also, the therapist needs to be more realistic as well, no therapist (at least no good therapist) is that pushy and demanding. Good job for a college project though 👍

    Pros: beautifully shot. Cinematography & production values were stunning. Lead actress was also gorgeous, FWTW.
    Cons: the acting was wooden, the script was pretty bad ("I feel a man's fist strike the back of my head..." "...his eyes were filled with hatred." "I will be strong, Mum..."), & the editing was awful to the point that there's *massive* gaps between each delivered line, which makes the flow of conversation feel awkward & stilted. I'm afraid that in the end, that took me out of the narrative so completely that I couldn't stick with the video; I threw in the towel at 19 minutes.
    But I do want to commend the creator on just how beautiful it *is*. For a college project, it's still not too shabby at all. Keep that in mind when watching - perfect or not, he does have plenty to be proud of, here.

    Did anyone notice. The young girl, who has the worst attitude, I’ve probably ever witnessed. When they pulled up at the destination, to go for a walk. She had sunnies on. She got out, and the sunnies had miraculously disappeared @ 4:38.
    She didn’t have them on during the drive, but when they pull up, she did. She opens her door, still has them on, and when she closes the door, the sunnies, just magically, disappear.
    I can’t say I actually related to this. Mainly because of the poor acting, and the young girls, bad attitude. Was the biggest turnoff.
    I just couldn’t get into it.

    I didn't find anything about this film realistic or emotionally connected in any way. The therapist sucked. She only seemed to know forceful ways. Asking someone to blindly fall into your arms or you're "finished", and then saying it's for the other person is dishonest.
    "They took nothing from you." WTF? She was raped but they took nothing away?
    "I'll throw you a rope, so you can find peace again." Girls nods...
    "Now, how about you come back tomorrow and we'll try this again."
    Who talks like this? And the 100 yard walk through the woods while the therapist was watching in the background was all it took? Wow. This is the most emotionally immature film I've ever seen.

    Very beautiful film...really enjoyed it..half of problems and pains in the world just coz of vagina..if women had no vagina than they were more happy and free to move anywhere...but unfortunately women has this creepy sexual organ so they must be careful in thier surrounding and in thier movement to save themselves from evils..😠😠

      Creepy sexual organ ? I find that a very bizarre outlook. Do you have creepy testicles ?

      Um, you do realize that "if women had no vagina" we wouldn't exist, right? It seems odd that you think their "creepy sexual organ" (the vagina - which many of us find quite lovely) is the problem, and not the rapist's lack of self-control. If you haven't tried NOT raping, I highly recommend it. As a man who has a long history of not raping, I feel pretty good about my choice. I like vaginas, AND I don't rape them - It's almost too easy!
      Think of a vagina as a $100 bill. Is it wrong for you to have a $100 bill? No. It's fine. Is it wrong for you to show someone else your $100 bill? No. It's also fine. Is it wrong for someone to take your $100 bill without your consent? Yes! They don't have any right to do that, even if they've seen it a thousand times. It's your $100 bill, and you can share it with anyone you like, but no one has the right to take it from you. I feel like I should do a TED Talk about vaginas, self-control, and finances...
